well cardio and lifting are two very different components of working out
True, but I felt (and looked) in shape simply by doing pushups, situps, leglifts, jumping jacks, etc... Karate isn't just moving around and stuff, it addressess lifting to a point too, and I found that was the only way I could ever do anything like that.

Luckily I'm just naturally thin :D

EDIT: 5'11" ~155 lbs

Cain 01-19-2006 04:00 PM

I'm about the same, 5'7 and 126. I'm a shrimp.

Luckily the thin guys are in with the ladies at the moment. :)

Lord Abortion 01-19-2006 04:00 PM

I'm watching Patrick Stewart being awesome in his new ITV drama.

I started working out for high school football, and I really haven't stopped, although last year I did it a lot less than normal.

I'm the same height as you, but you've got a good 15-20 pounds on me.

What's your body fat percentage?

i only do the latter

5'10". 180 lbs. It's around the normal weight for someone of my height and body type, but none of it's from tone. :upset:

It's ironic too because in freshman year high school, I could count my ribs in the mirror I was so scrawny.

Nice munky, only show I have to look forward to is the Opeth show, although that's really awesome for around here. I can't wait :d

Ohhh <3 Rock climbing too. I rarely get to do it though. Luckily Martial arts can be a pretty private thing as far as training (i.e. I can do it in my dorm and not have to pay).

340 pounds. I highly doubt I'll ever be able to do it again due to my injury unless some miracle happens and my spine heals up and I get back to where I was.

And for the record, not like anyone cares, but I'm 183cm tall and 102kg.

You children need to eat and work out and be healthy!

Whereabouts do you live, out of curiosity?

Although not addressed to me I'm gonna answer you too. I prefer rock but usually end up on plastic for convenience. My hardest completed climb was a 5'11 I believe.

Jom: I eat lots, shut up.

Psh, no way. Try Colorado

Yeah, I have a good reach being just under 6 feet tall, and that helps a lot. But I'm probably about the same level as you. I know a lot of amazing climbers though. They are just astounding. Pretty much everyone here does it though, even my 5'0" girlfriend lol.

Wow.

I'm short, and a maybe little heavy. I've lost a lot of weight with the depression hitting, so I'm just about average build now. It's nice.

I know, there is absolutely no climbing in FL, but ya I come in at a large 5'6 ish 125. I hate reachy problems, there was a 5'10 route I was working on in WV, and took me a little over half an hour to get to the crux, because it was really really reachy.

Half an hour? God, I don't have that kind of stamina. If I'm up there more than 15 minutes I'm already starting to shake with exertion usually. Especially because there's rarely a good resting place so just staying somewhere drains you.

superpeer 01-19-2006 05:43 PM

Well, okay then. I was 120 pounds for a long time, but now I should be like 130. I guess I gained some weight. I'm still a twig, though.

The length thing is too complicated, let's just say I'm a bit shorter than Jom.
