agreed Camilla Rhodes needs more love but I reckon Whisteria Cottage are under appreciated around here too

Endangered Oddity 02-08-2012 02:20 PM

That's whats up, love me some DOOM era JFAC.

Whisteria Cottage is sick as is Hester Prynne

MudIdol 02-08-2012 03:32 PM

Whisteria Cottage is so awesome. That Camilla Rodes band is pretty cool.

Jamming to The Acacia Strain. Forgot how awesome they were in their mediocrity.

beans 02-08-2012 06:51 PM

i really like them tbh. live not so much, their albums are awesome to listen to though

they got mad groove

MudIdol 02-08-2012 07:00 PM

Suffokate has better groove imo. Both bands play really similar music.

witchxrapist 02-08-2012 07:27 PM

You gotta listen more oldschool TAS:

Meh I have every Acacia Strain album except And Life Is Very Long and they're good but depending on my mood I can't listen to it all the way through.

AfterTheBreakdown 02-08-2012 10:04 PM

noooooooooo

idc what anyone says Wormwood was a damn good release from them

Dimmu Burger 02-08-2012 11:29 PM

The Acacia Strain is the shiznit. I've seen them live probably 5 times, so much juns it's epic.

beans 02-09-2012 01:43 AM

Im not really too big a fan of their live performance, seen them 3 times I think. Vince's voice live is completely hit or miss

witchxrapist 02-09-2012 08:52 AM

Never seen them play a bad show, and I've lost count of how many times I've seen them.

AfterTheBreakdown 02-09-2012 11:48 AM

The samples of the new veil of maya songs on amazon sound awesome.

beans 02-09-2012 01:52 PM

album is only 29 mins long according to amazon.

AfterTheBreakdown 02-09-2012 03:07 PM

seems a bit short.

beans 02-09-2012 03:10 PM

yeeeah

alytee123 02-09-2012 06:10 PM

Less pointless djents.

Millstone goes hard

AYO MAGGOTS 02-10-2012 10:27 AM

The Acacia Strain was way better live when they actually had more than one live guitarist.

witchxrapist 02-10-2012 03:50 PM

Last few times I saw them they had the one guitarist who played on 3750 touring with them.

beans 02-10-2012 04:58 PM

DL?

he seems to tour with them more over on the east coast and write the album material. i only saw him touring over here one time and that was a long time ago.
p sure he has a kid and a wife now or something to that degree

witchxrapist 02-10-2012 05:10 PM

Yeah, it would make sense as an east coast thing, but he did Warped Tour w/ them last summer. I'm so happy he started playing with them again, cause they were a bit weaker w/o him... not to say they still weren't balls out, but I like hearing more material off of 3750 in their set-lists.

witchxrapist 02-10-2012 06:00 PM

Beans I dl'ed that Camilla Rhodes album, and that song Pete linked is by far the worst song on the album, but it's like the only one on youtube. I'm gonna upload the song I liked the most soonish.

nevertoolate 02-10-2012 06:04 PM

you've listened to Camilla Rhodes before mapps?!>? im sure

MalleusMaleficarum 02-10-2012 06:05 PM

i dunno if its by far the worst song on the album, but that album is fucking good

witchxrapist 02-10-2012 06:52 PM

I never listened to them, always confused them with Hester Prynne for some reason. Got their albums today, jamming hard.

MalleusMaleficarum 02-10-2012 06:56 PM

vocalist didnt force nearly as many breeees on the debut album haha but the production isnt as good on that one

onyx sun has them fat bass licks and overall more dm influence

witchxrapist 02-10-2012 06:57 PM

MalleusMaleficarum 02-10-2012 06:58 PM
