I am sorry your majesty. I have learned my lesson.

BludgeonySteve 10-13-2004 07:13 PM

Better. I'm glad that you've turned over to the darkside.

lunch998 10-13-2004 07:22 PM

Yes, the incredibly darkside of using sentence structure and correct punctation.....

lunch998 10-13-2004 07:23 PM

I don't like that other site as much as here. We have a community here, except the Ramones kid can't be in it.

Yea it has potential. I might review Animals for that site if I get around to it. I've never reviewed anything and I want to give it a shot.

RockAndRoll 10-13-2004 07:43 PM

If you've seen april wine live you'd know they put on an amazing show. They played 21st century schizoid man, had a great drum solo and generally just made the crowd go crazy. Too bad they can't really capture it on cd.

magicbus 10-13-2004 08:00 PM

-Yes, we joined before the nubs :thumb: (to malcom)
-Does anybody need me to put up a picture for there avatar? I read photobucket somewhere..
-I already joined that musicdiscussion site.
-I've never heard April Wine.
-I'm listening to Strange Days.

That sums it up, methinks.

thickasabrick 10-13-2004 09:00 PM

I'm a huge fan of April Wine. I have several of their albums and I think they're amazing. A lot of people haven't heard them (or even heard of them), maybe because they are Canadian or something, I'm not sure. They are coming to my town pretty soon but I can't go because they are playing at the Casino, and I'm not allowed in...

StreetlightRock 10-14-2004 06:04 AM

I think April Wine are a solid rock band, with some v. nice songs. i think my main criticism is that there quite... erm. i lost the word... typical rock? Like, nothing special, just soild Rock N' Roll. I guess i look for something more.. unique? EDIT: Generic! thats the word.

About them live... The've got more Live CDs then ive got fingers and toes, lol

DVG.
ok ok, i admit it, i'm a classic rock nut. i love led zeppelin, the beatles, the who, eric clapton, the doors, and so on. most of the bands i listen to broke up years before i was born. at 17, nearly every song on my playlist is older than me. but is it just my imagination, or is classic rock experiencing sort of a revival. i am running into an increasing number of classic rock fans my age. at my school (an all boys high school), the school newspaper took a poll of everyone's favorite genre and band. led zeppeling got 5th and the beatles got 6th, behind that rap crap. classic rock made up a large percent of ppls favorite genre. is this just by me, or are other ppl noticing this too?

o and for u classic rock fans, the crime of the new century was that the Yardbirds new CD, Birdland, recieved no attention at all. that deserved a grammy, or 6.

so are there any other classic rock fans out there, and even if ur not, have u been noticing somewhat of a revival in interest for that sort of music?
Hey, I'm exactly like you. My favourite band is Pink Floyd and they broke you before I was even born.

lee_lee 10-14-2004 07:37 AM

Most of the music I listen to nowadays was either done before I was even born or when I was really young. My favourite band at the moment is Pink Floyd and the original liune-up split up before I was even born, I hope the rumours of them re-forming are true cos I'd love to see em, although I don't see em doing too much gigs and the ones they do will sell out straight away.

Whatever 10-14-2004 07:42 AM

who said PF was gonna reform?

lee_lee 10-14-2004 09:43 AM

There's bn rumours that band are being paid to reform for a some gigs next year. I read it in a few magazines and some websites.

Broken Arrow 10-14-2004 10:31 AM

It is nice to hear that magicbus likes Neil :thumb:

Also I have also seen Aprilwine and they were very good live!

Pink Floyd will likely never have a reunion because David and Roger hate eachother and Roger just turned 60.

lee_lee 10-14-2004 10:59 AM

I know it's gonna b very unlikely cos they hate the hell out of each other, you can only hope.

Yea its too bad though. It would be awesome if they did a tour.

Arucard 10-14-2004 02:26 PM

I am still shocked that they did 21st century schizoid man.

That was an awesome night.

Broken Arrow 10-14-2004 02:59 PM

I have to agree^

Until the pit collasped on me a some other people.......I got trampled

lunch998 10-14-2004 04:38 PM

I was just watching the Simpsons, and Marge said they needed CPR and Homer started singing "I see, a bad moon rising....", then Marge was like no that's CCR. The Simpsons is a great show.

Woodstock 10-14-2004 05:00 PM

I wish I saw that. Remember the one when Homer reveals he was in a popular singing quartet( The B-Flats).

They were performing on a rooftop, and Paul McCartney drove by and said,"It's been done."

Ha yea that was great. I'm glad theres another Simpsons guy on here or else I would have felt stupid. I like the one where Homer becomes a hippy and puts the pot in all the juice. At the end Ned is driving and he sees the Grateful Dead Care Bears, the Hammers from the Wall, and the Rolling Stone's logo.

MalcolmYoungRock 10-14-2004 05:06 PM

And the one with The Who.

Great stuff...

ZZ Top has, too. And there was a painting of Jimi Hendrix on the Simpsons.
