I usually dcik around whith something else playing in the background low and stuff comes that way, usually i find myself building around scales and modes but they're only tools and so your not being a tool if you step outside of that scale (sorry for bad joke)

I'm not sure the red. What other colours do you guys think could look good? And I'm starting to love these Fender Japans, so cheap yet so good!

I dunno, Black usualy is a winner on Jazzes.. Natural also look nice on basses with that kinda inlays...

Maple. I prefer the look, and my bass at the moment has a rosewood fretboard, so I would like some variety.
