FatalEnergy 12-17-2009 08:08 PM

That's pretty blatant.

Txus 12-17-2009 08:08 PM

Thanks, Haz.

As for Alex, that was low man :upset:

All jokes aside there was some seriously gay **** towards the end of this video (I think it was this one at least). I will try and find a timestamp.

Meatplow 12-17-2009 08:16 PM

Jaundice 12-17-2009 08:20 PM

Meatplow 12-17-2009 08:22 PM

In response to the discussing of The Second Annual Report

Jaundice 12-17-2009 08:31 PM

stfu you don't even like Monte Cazazza

Meatplow 12-17-2009 09:24 PM

I was waiting for that. :) Alex, you should check out the OhmForce Ohmicide VST plugin

http://www.ohmforce.com/HomePage.do

I'm having a lot of fun with it right now.

Meatplow 12-19-2009 11:35 AM

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--yCye_ZWCM

song gives me mad chills

Jaundice 12-20-2009 09:30 AM

listening to neutral milk hotel's invent yourself a shortcake for the first time

all jokes aside there's a very significant first-wave industrial influence on this

Jaundice 12-20-2009 10:49 AM

I'm starting to look through the Industrial Records discography, my first new find is The Leather Nun

Some iffy punk-rock stuff, but there's also definitely some goodness here
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MK29QU_uV1s

Meatplow 12-20-2009 10:50 AM

awesome, i've been meaning to go through some of the early labels

i've been getting some stuff off of Wax Trax, plenty of great bands here -

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wax_Trax_discography

Jaundice 12-20-2009 10:53 AM

I have that Noise Unit album Grinding into Emptiness

I need to give it another listen, i remember it being really annoying but with a slight bit of potential

**** i haven't listened to ministry in months

Meatplow 12-20-2009 10:57 AM

i always return to The Land of Rape and Honey every month or so, its just essential to me. The Mind Is A Terrible Thing to taste is probably better, I lost my copy though and have failed to get another one.

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xug1z_ministry-just-one-fix_music

I love the video mix of Just One Fix, the intro is so ****ing awesome. I could do with getting Psalm 69 again, whilst on topic.

Jaundice 12-20-2009 10:59 AM

All I really have is The Land of Rape and Honey.

I had Twitch for a while but I never felt a need to listen to the whole thing.

Meatplow 12-20-2009 11:00 AM

Yeah, Filth Pig was probably the last Ministry album I remember liking much.

Meatplow 12-20-2009 01:04 PM

http://www.mediafire.com/?t2ymzzztyhi

a very rough part of an ambient track i'm working on, I have a playful idea happening I just need to perfect it

Jaundice 12-21-2009 03:18 PM

will get on that when what im downloading now finsishes

been listening to Piere Schaeffer today, anybody into this

pretty sure it's industrial as balls

Txus 12-21-2009 03:23 PM

is anyone in here (haz or jaundice since no one else posts here tbh) into Michael Gira's solo stuff? This is too damn good.

Jaundice 12-21-2009 03:26 PM

still forgetting to get involved in anything swans related other than filth and self-titled

Txus 12-21-2009 03:34 PM

oh

you should dig further.

Jaundice 12-21-2009 03:37 PM

i think i have a neurosis album with jarboe on it

should i break this out som eday

Ventriloquist 12-21-2009 03:38 PM

it's a collab. album rules so hard

Meatplow 12-21-2009 03:41 PM

i've been meaning to check out some Micheal Gira actually

I need more Swans, whilst I am at it

Txus 12-21-2009 03:41 PM

yeah

its with neurosis

it obviously rules

jarboe's solo stuff ain't that good imo

Ventriloquist 12-21-2009 06:18 PM

yeah I checked their solo stuff after I listened to that album but couldn't get into them. can anyone recommend me really dark depressing industrial, sort of like SPK. talking about SPK going to heil some now.

Meatplow 12-21-2009 06:31 PM

Genocide Organ - Leichenlinie

Ventriloquist 12-21-2009 06:43 PM

Already have that :D

Meatplow 12-21-2009 07:01 PM

Well, SPK is probably one of the more noise-orientated of the first wave acts but they have some musical elements as well that makes them fairly unique to me. If you haven't heard them try The Worst of Monte Cazazza and Throbbing Gristle's The Second Annual Report for that kind of dark, psychotic atmosphere if that is what you are after, just rattling off some obvious names though. On the other side of coin (more power electronics) try some Whitehouse, Great White Death has an intense, depressing atmosphere.

Also, maybe some Test Dept.? Try Ecstacy Under Duress, it has similar percussive elements and aggression to Einstürzende Neubauten but reminds me of SPK in some ways.

Ventriloquist 12-21-2009 07:08 PM

Thanks a lot man. Will look into all of them.

Meatplow 12-21-2009 08:21 PM

Alex would probably recommend some early Severed Heads if he was around as well.

"All industrial music is a failed attempt at sounding like Severed Heads"

- Jaundice, 2009

Txus 12-21-2009 08:22 PM

Where should I start with SPK?

Aakon_Keetreh 12-21-2009 08:24 PM

does this thread cover house music or trance

Meatplow 12-21-2009 08:25 PM

I go through a psytrance phase every now and then.

Hallucinogen - Twisted
Messiah - 21st Century Jesus

There two are my favourites.
Where should I start with SPK?
Information Overload Unit

Leichenschrei is so awesome though

Aakon_Keetreh 12-21-2009 08:30 PM

if you like psytrance you will really like infected mushrooms first cd, its like classical music influenced psytrance

Txus 12-21-2009 08:35 PM

Twisted is ****ing amazing.

And thanks, Haz. Will look into both!

Meatplow 12-21-2009 08:47 PM
if you like psytrance you will really like infected mushrooms first cd, its like classical music influenced psytrance
I'll look into it, cheers.

21st Century Jesus is pretty cool, it has an "dystopic" industrial feel to it with samples from The Running Man etc. Maybe a little dated sounding, idk.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZNvk22dbYQ

Aakon_Keetreh 12-21-2009 08:51 PM

its actually there second cd, called classical mushroom

Meatplow 12-21-2009 09:14 PM

okay, cool

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6aUuwJVlEQY

i like the psytrance elements in this Numb song, a nice blend of noise and EBM
