antihippy 07-05-2007 12:44 AM

got bored of them fast.

Invicta_Veritas 07-05-2007 12:46 AM

Tsk Tsk, man, you people have no attention span. You guys are worse than MTV.

ToWhatEnd 07-05-2007 12:47 AM

FATA does getting really boring fast, their latest album is the only one with any kind of replay value.

Invicta_Veritas 07-05-2007 12:48 AM

i don't like thier newest one a whole lot. I liked TFWL better.

ToWhatEnd 07-05-2007 12:51 AM

I had a phase with that record where I would listen to four songs and then switch over to something else. That lasted about a month although I still enjoy a couple of tracks off of that. Right now as far as metalcore goes I've been into new August Burns Red, new Haste The Day, the new Darkest Hour tracks and just Killswitch Engage in general. After seeing them live twice they have pretty much taken over as my favorite band in the genre.

Charizard 07-05-2007 12:55 AM

Darkest Hour =/= metalcore. Still love them though.

August Burns Red's music is okay, but their vocals are godawful.

Haste The Day... meh.

I like old Killswitch though.

Their newest one is the best, but the rest of their stuff is not much good.

LifeInABox 07-05-2007 09:09 AM

I was listening to Mordecai, and I really respect Mark Castillo of Bury Your Dead. His drum work in BTTBAM is great.

antihippy 07-05-2007 09:12 AM

that song has really good drumming.

LifeInABox 07-05-2007 09:14 AM

It does. It's fits so well with the mood of the song. Right now I'm listening to Selkies, and the bass in that song is top notch.

RetiredAt21 07-05-2007 11:33 AM

Stop talking about crappy metalcore bands, please. No more FATA talk.

Invicta_Veritas 07-05-2007 11:35 AM

So, I still haven't heard FaTA's very first one, is it any good?

(Sorry Retired, it's an honest question. I'll leave it alone after this.)

LifeInABox 07-05-2007 05:20 PM

retired, you don't like BtBAM?

Invicta_Veritas 07-05-2007 05:21 PM

I don't like BtBaM. Not enough there for me to get into.

LifeInABox 07-05-2007 05:22 PM

Oh. But you like FATA?

Invicta_Veritas 07-05-2007 05:23 PM

The second album mostly. The new one is alright.

And what does that have to do with it? Jesus, I like one, not the other. Sue me.

LifeInABox 07-05-2007 05:27 PM

Uhh, why would I ever do that? It would be a major loss to my funds, to hire a lawyer to state a case that most likely would end up getting thrown out of court, then to pay the fees would probably end up being over a thousand dollars, which wouldn't make my day. Tbh, I don't think it would be worth it.

Can somone explain to me why everyone likes Underoath's new album? It really is sooo beyond mediocre.

I agree.

Behemoth_Rules_All, FATA's first album Too Bad You're Beautiful is brilliant.

Invicta_Veritas 07-05-2007 06:09 PM

Okay thanks.

Dimmu Burger 07-05-2007 06:24 PM

I've been checking out albums produced by Adam D. (of Killswitch Engage) because the stuff he does sounds really good. I got some August Burns Red and Parkway Drive. Neither are God's gift to metal, but they aren't bad.

Anybody have a cd that they like that he produced?

The new All That Remains is godlike.

Parkway drive is meh.

RetiredAt21 07-05-2007 06:55 PM

You guys love to talk about horrible bands.
You guys love to talk about horrible bands.
Bring up a good one!

And yes the new ATR is amazing.
You guys love to talk about horrible bands.
All That Remains is fucking amazing dude. Don't ever shittalk that band.

Dimmu Burger 07-05-2007 07:11 PM

He probably meant August Burns Red and Parkway Drive.

Ick, well all the Killswitch albums, Unearth's The Oncoming Storm, The Agony Scenes garbage, all of The Acacia Strain's albums, Bless the Martyr by Norma Jean, The first FATA album, a few more.

i am the robots 07-06-2007 10:35 AM

He helped with Define The Great Line.

RetiredAt21 07-06-2007 10:38 AM
He probably meant August Burns Red and Parkway Drive.
They all suck. Including All That Remains.

i am the robots 07-06-2007 10:39 AM

Parkway Drive is so laughable.

RetiredAt21 07-06-2007 10:40 AM

So is almost every band talked about in this thread that wasn't mentioned by me.

i am the robots 07-06-2007 10:41 AM

Ron brought up a few methinks.

And my god this is annoying, I'm trying to listen to Orchid and afterwards Orgy comes on.:(

RetiredAt21 07-06-2007 10:41 AM

Ron did bring up a few goodies. I salute him for that.

i am the robots 07-06-2007 10:42 AM

I brought up like one-half decent thing somewhere accidentally somehow.

RetiredAt21 07-06-2007 10:42 AM

Yeah, you just mentioned Orchid. :)

Then Orgy. :(

2muchket! 07-06-2007 10:44 AM

Local metalcore band. Quite good imo.

i am the robots 07-06-2007 10:44 AM

I can't go very long without bringing up Orchid though, but I finally got my hands on Totality. Now I must sleep after I finish listening. Peace

antihippy 07-06-2007 10:52 AM

orchid rules.

though this is probably the wrong thread for them.

Invicta_Veritas 07-06-2007 11:07 AM

I don't care what anyone says, ATR's a good band.

RetiredAt21 07-06-2007 01:53 PM

Orchid > All That Remains

No contest, really.
