Good times. |
I didn't get to post my last list, because mx was being cranky at the time. I had Beethoven in there, though, and Muse and Wu-Tang Clan and others.
|
No matter how many times I look at your Overall Artists, the amount of Pink Floyd still boggles the mind.
:-| |
Yeah, my top two is more like:
Therapy? 1500 Pixies 500 That's pretty fanboy-ish, but Jason is just pushing it. =[ |
It's only 20% or so of my listenings, though.
|
My top is like Bewitched - 95. Not too bad.
|
On mine Judas Priest are about 200 clear of the 2nd band, which is either Megadeth or Municipal Waste.
|
It's only 20% or so of my listenings, though.
Only????? NP: 2Pac - Until the End of Time |
Radiohead were so far ahead for my #1, but then I reset my stats after having lastFM for a year.
|
ok.. while it's down, a question
Do your top bands actually reflect your favourite bands or are they more a measure of which bands you skip the least? Anathema are my favourite band so it's fitting that they are on top of my list. A few others, like Pearl Jam, Custard, The Living End and Powderfinger, while I like them, they seem unnaturally high on my list. Some of my current favourites, like Violetine and The National are down near 50 in the rankings. |
Looks like you guys are about to get a taste of the new site that only subscibers had access to. It's pretty sweet.
My top artists do reflect my favorite bands but maybe not in the right order, but then again i'm too lazy to think about the order. |
Yeah, some there are truly my favourite bands, some are too low, some are too high, but whatcha gonna do.
|

I don't think I could definitely say I have one sole favourite band, though. It changes. |
I tend to use my shuffle a lot, so the bands who I have tons of material by end up pretty high in my overall top artists.
|
I tend to use my shuffle a lot, so the bands who I have tons of material by end up pretty high in my overall top artists.
Yeah, same. |
I never use shuffle
ever |
All my music on shuffle mode what I usually have going, the bands with more songs seem to win out.
|
I never use shuffle
ever
I use it from time to time, used to be a shuffle whore before. I tend to skip a lot of songs when it's on shuffle though. |
Yeah, I skip a lot too, and click on other songs when they are near alphabetically, so it's not merely quantity of songs that makes my Last.fm list, but it helps a bit.
|
I never use shuffle
ever
Same. If I were to use shuffle, I'd skip through tons of tracks untill it went to something I felt like listening to. I can't stand not being able to choose what I want to listen to. |
haha yeah, same.
Although with Doom Metal I often don't feel like it, but when I do I love it. Same goes for much of my BM. This is changing, though. I am loving Doom at the moment. |
LastFm is back with a new image is awesome you guys shoud check it out :thumb:
|
I use shuffle. If you have to skip through that many songs, try finding artists you actually enjoy listening to.
|
Now see I have a question.
I love Last.fm Player. However it looks like they have a new player out. Can anyone tell me how good the new version is, and if I should just stay where I'm at? BTW guys I listened to 140 songs yesterday. |
LastFm is back with a new image is awesome you guys shoud check it out :thumb:
Whoa, I don't know if I like this or not. And me = shuffle whore |
THe new image isnt bad, I like the little composite of artist images next to your the charts and other then that, it's not all too different. The dashboard will be cool once I get used to it.
|
i don't use shuffle I usually listen to one album per artist, just beacuse sometimes in the shuffle i'm listening to lets say Pink FLoyd and the next song is a power metal song so i don't like the change to be so drastically.
|
I use shuffle half the time, then listen to one artist/album/style at a time at others. I understand on shuffle you may not be in the mood for a certain style/artist, but if you have to skip through so much that it actually takes effort, well, then like I said, you should be listening to artists you actually enjoy.
|
^^ The same here, and I have a bunch of different genres, so I don't like to change from Trip Hop into Anaal Nathrakh for example. I rarely use shuffle.
|
1. At the Drive-In - 45
2. The Aquabats - 29 3. Audioslave - 26 4. The Beatles - 20 4. Anthrax - 20 6. The Alan Parsons Project - 18 7. The Beach Boys - 14 8. Beastie Boys - 13 8. Backstreet Boys - 13 8. Aretha Franklin - 13 |
Woa, the new last.fm kicks ***!
I use shuffle. If you have to skip through that many songs, try finding artists you actually enjoy listening to.
I enjoy listening to all the artists I have on my computer, I'm just not allways in the mood to listen to all of them. |
I recently reset my last.fm, but I can't wait to start using the recommendations again, they were always pretty helpful.
|
Woa, the new last.fm kicks ***!
Whoa! Its so beautiful /tear |
Is the site down for you all as well?
|
Its taking a little bit longer to load, but no
|
You guys should check out the top artists/tracks for "last three months" and "last 6 months" and all that, it's really interesting, it shows a nice evolution.
