Confession: I was baptised.
Confession: I was baptised.
And?

Liebensaft 11-11-2005 08:55 PM

It should speak for itself. Is it bad to have atheistic views after being baptised?

AIRIC 11-11-2005 08:56 PM
It should speak for itself. Is it bad to have atheistic views after being baptised?
Let me guess, you were baptized before you were even a year old?

Anxious 11-11-2005 08:56 PM

Most people were.

AIRIC 11-11-2005 08:57 PM

Yepp. He didn't have a choice, so why would it be bad that he has athiestic views?

Liebensaft 11-11-2005 09:10 PM
Let me guess, you were baptized before you were even a year old?
I think most everyone is, unless they convert from a different religion. I suppose being baptised, I'm supposed to belive in Christianity and all that shit. It just seems like it wouldn't be right to laugh at religion after being baptized. Ah well. Fuck religion and its fairy tales. :thumb:

RetiredAt21 11-11-2005 09:14 PM

I never got baptized. I'm EVIL. RAAAAHHHHHH.

Glitterati 11-11-2005 09:18 PM

Confession: I'm just a gigalo.

And everywhere I go, people know the part I'm playing.
Pay for every dance, selling each romance.
Ohh, what they saying?

There will come a day,
when youth will pass away
What will they say about?
When the end comes I know, there was just a gigalo
Life goes on, without me.

Anxious 11-11-2005 09:19 PM

Louie Prima is punk.

Brain Toad 11-11-2005 09:24 PM

I was baptised catholic and spend two years of my life hating all religions, religious people and saying 'f'uck god' and various variations. Now I live a pessimisitc almost nihilisitc agnostic life. The pope hates me so much.

Anxious 11-11-2005 09:25 PM

I'm catholic also.

Brain Toad 11-11-2005 09:26 PM

My little cousin saw a picture of me baptised and she thought I was being barbequed.

I wouldn't consider myself catholic except in the way a person considers themself a jew despite not practicing the faith.

Anxious 11-11-2005 09:27 PM

I see.

You know the pope?!

I was baptized and forced to go to sunday school, and I never wanted to, so I would spend months at a time being grounded because I wouldn't go. Eventually, my mom just said "Wow, if he's willing to be grounded for that long, he must REALLY not wanna go. I'll just stop making him."

The pope is a bad party guest.

As catholic as my mom's family was, the first church service I went to was like 2 years ago at a Catholic wedding. My parents never really forced religion on me, my dad's family weren't that religious so it kind of countered my mom's uber catholicism. I did have a kid's bible, but I enjoyed reading it.

Sum 41 is pretty cool.

I'm listening to Prince.

AIRIC 11-11-2005 11:42 PM

I'm getting confirmed because my grandmother is very Catholic and wants me to. I'm very very close to her so I'm willing to do that, but it'll probably be the end of my religious life.

StruckEverywhere 11-12-2005 12:00 AM

How many times do I have to say this, liking Sum 41 is NOT a confession.

I have nothing to do on a Saturday night. :upset:
It should speak for itself. Is it bad to have atheistic views after being baptised?
Techincally, you're not going to heaven if you have atheistic views anyway, even if you were baptised. You're going straight to hell, *sings* "Where all the good people go".

Confession: I heard the above song by whatshisface and quite liked it, even though I have a strict policy not to listen to anyone "hailed as the new Dylan".
