I was wondering if someone could upload some stuff off of Hell Awaits, because it is honestly the only Slayer album I've never heard anything off of. My email is nphelan@optonline.net

But I've heard every song on that album, and the only store I know that has it, is selling it for 15 bucks, and don't have that kind of money as of right now. EDIT- that's a little "hint, hint" to who ever has the song Haunting the Chapel and can send it to me. |
I know how you feel
|
South of Heaven as worst of the first Lombardo era? That's like my all time favorite Slayer, Lombardo or not.
Britton, did you still want anything of off Anthrax - Persistence of Time? Email me so I could YSI to you if you're interested. |
Holy crap im buying Hell Awaits as soon as possible.

anyone here see them live?!
i got to see them at tattoo the planet about 3-4 years ago... i would never have gone in that pit even if you paid me... f***ing hell, one of the most violent pits i've ever seen... i went to the toilet and the floor and walls were covered in blood... one guy in there was complaining that his nose just got broke again... that was the same year that Cradle of Filth played... they were pretty good too... was disapointed that pantera dropped out though...:( |
anyone seen their live at the warfield DVD? the mental guy screaming SLAYER lol cracks me up every time...
|
ha. i've got that dvd... the guy rips the beer can in half with his teeth...
and there's the hipy guy who claimed to be satanic and hear inner demons by the name of jim carey... Tom's vocals aren't too great on that dvd though... but the pit's are f***ing crazy... |

It was probably the best concert I'd been to. I thought some of the people they interviewed were a tad bit crazy. |

Yeah, I think that was the point of the documentary though, I don't think its supposed to be taken serioulsy, it doesn't exactly give a balanced view of what most Slayer fans are like. |

Awesome. Old slayer and new slayer sound like two different bands don't they? |
Awesome. Old slayer and new slayer sound like two different bands don't they?
Basically, Divine Intervention was their last great release IMO, I didn't dig GHUA, Diabolus was a good album, but not as good as the old stuff |
Awesome. Old slayer and new slayer sound like two different bands don't they?
yeah, pretty much. kind of like metallica, guns n roses, ac/dc, alot of old bands. its cool though, more diversity |
Of all the albums that I have, I've dug them all. They all have a different feel to them.
Divine intervention actually sounded kinda punk to me for some reason. |

Vocals wise yes, basicley they are older stuff was more edgy and newer stuff has more of a punk edge to it. Since tom's vocals aren't as strong as they used to be...it's changed. But you gotta hand it to the guys, seriousley they have been making music since 1983 and have never IMO made actually a bad album, each on carried something new, more grotesque, and have never let any one down. |

EXACTLY!!!! 22 years of brutal intense music of death destruction and satan. :chug: |
EXACTLY!!!!
22 years of brutal intense music of death destruction and satan. :chug:
Does anyone really have any idea what fuels Kerry's disliking of Christianity? I know that Tom said that all that 666 stuff on the Show No Mercy album, and them talking about demons killing angels were to get them noticed, Tom says he believes in an "all-loving God" and Jeff is a Jew so I can see why he doesn't care about singing songs like "Jesus Saves". But what about Kerry? |
I've wonderd that too

I can send it you. What's your E-Mail address? |
Is it any good?
|
Haunting the Chapel is great. 4 classic Slayer Songs. All of the songs are pretty well known on it except for the title track which I feel is extremly underrated.
