no, you dont say the unseen is sellout, and their new album will be sellout, do you?
That isn't using it as a verb. That is an adjective.

victimofreality 03-10-2005 10:53 PM

To anyone who has real experience recording: When you record the drums, how many mics do you use and where do you put them?

Being a percussionist my whole life.
Put them where you want them. It all so matters what you are playing the most. Some have the trio Hi at, Bass drum, and snare. Others play all of there trap kit.

any one know anything about iron on paper that you can print on?

I don't think it works all that well.
any one know anything about iron on paper that you can print on?
I've thought about trying that, although I think it would be more interesting to learn to silkscreen.
It would make my patch making easier, though.

anywho, I've finished all my patches so far, but I'm going to make more. I'm even going to make more for some of my friends, as soon as they get me the supplies (it's a trade).

I decided to put all my patches on this jacket, since I don't have room on my backpack. It's my mom's old jacket from the 70's, but she doesn't care if I sew the patches on or what. I'm not going to sew them on until I've got all the patches that I want done, so I can see how I want them to be arranged on the jacket. But here's what I have so far:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v614/asdfqaz/jacket.jpg

I made all except for one of those patches. The one I didn't make is the red one from a local band. Their patch sort of inspired me to make my own.

Anarcho Poser 03-12-2005 12:57 PM

looks crappy. Rearrange the patches.

Actually, do whatever the hell you want, I'm just sayin I don't like it ;)

littlebeast 03-12-2005 01:17 PM

that jacket is so ugly

Scabies 03-12-2005 01:36 PM

I know how you all love dodgy webcam pictures of peoples hoodies, so here you go:

Thats seriously the worst.

At least glue them or something or use smaller pins.

Brain Toad 03-12-2005 02:49 PM

The weather is starting to get too warm for my jacket. So I'm probably going to go out and get myself a denim vest or a jacket and cut off the sleeves. I feel odd when not wearing anything patched nowadays.

I'm going to sew them on. They're most likely not even where I want them. There's a lot more I have to do.

using the iron-on paper works well if ye do it right. get yerself some natural canvas, and then print out the design and simply iron it on, the thing ye needed to do right, was use natural canvas.

Well, I've said it before in this thread, so I'll just go dig up what I said before:

I also make my own patches. The way I do this is I print out the image that I want from my computer onto some cardboard-ish material. Then I cut the image like a stencil and use fabric paint. Fabric paint pens work a lot better then just bottles of fabric paint, but they run out much faster.

AndreTheHyena 03-15-2005 05:05 PM

Aight, this is kinda random and lame, but does anyone know any tips for hand-washing clothes? I'm just gonna fill the sink with warm water, I guess, and add soap and slosh 'em around and then rinse and air dry 'em or something. Any other tips would be appreciated.

sketchyjoe 03-15-2005 05:12 PM

I think its better to soak them in cold water before you put them in warm water.

AndreTheHyena 03-15-2005 05:12 PM

Does anyone have a picture or something that refers to 2 tone? I'm looking for the something to make a back patch out of.

sketchyjoe 03-16-2005 06:30 PM

Google Image Search for something like Walt Jabsco, The Specials, 2-tone etc

Forest_Fire 03-16-2005 06:31 PM
