Get Slaughter of the Soul first... or Terminal Spirit Disease
I already have Slaughter of the soul.

I might end up having enough money for both though. :)

peacesells1256 03-21-2005 07:31 PM

Permanent Solution 03-21-2005 07:32 PM

I only have Nightfall in Middle Earth, and honestly that album works best heard as a whole :-/

peacesells1256 03-21-2005 07:37 PM

can anyone recomend me some good blind guardian songs to listen to?

Dude3 03-22-2005 01:22 PM

What Shadows Fall album should I get??? I already have The War Within.
Should I get "Of One Blood", or should I get "The Art of Balance"???
Thanks :thumb:

LeperAffinity 03-22-2005 01:47 PM

AoB is closer to War Within, but in my opinion Of One Blood is better.

Dude3 03-22-2005 01:54 PM

I was thinking of Getting Of One Blood. I get a lot reccomendations to get AoB, but I'm not sure. I really like how Of One Blood has some Deathy vocals more often.

Hey,

I just need help to discover new stuff. I'm fed up of the bands i'm listening to now and searching for new bands. My only restrictions are:

1.It has to be metal
2.It has to be very technical/complex

I also like progrsive **** a lot, for exemple Opeth.

Anyway, thanks for your help.

*Note : i posted this in the Rock/Metal forum not knowing their already had a thread for this going.

Jom 03-22-2005 10:14 PM

Dream Theater for progressive and technical, Meshuggah would also fulfill your requirements.

Hey, im in the mood for brutal s'hit. Like, i listen to KalmahChildren of bodom,Norther and Dimmu and all, and i like it, but its not... RRAAWWRRR enough. Bands like Arsis, or Aethist or stuff along those lines... actually even Mudvayne. Just the whole, on the edge, fast paced thing. anyone?

DVG.

Hmmm, Cryptopsy may be a bit extreme if you're a relative beginner. Try some Obituary. Anything off there first 2 albums is great, but in particular...

Chopped In Half
Find The Arise
Circle of the Tyrants (Although, it is a cover)
Gates of Hell
Slowly We Rot
Cause of Death
Infected
'Til Death
Dying

John Tardy is a definate RRRRAAAAWWRRRRRR vocalist, as you put it.

StreetlightRock 03-23-2005 04:46 AM

Cool, thanks guys, ill check em out.

DVG.

The Cynic 03-23-2005 01:15 PM

I'm debating to either get Deliverance or ****ation by Opeth. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

Otherside 03-23-2005 01:23 PM

Do you have any other Opeth cds?

The Cynic 03-23-2005 01:42 PM

I just have songs on mixed Cd's that my friend burned for me like The Windowpane and In my Time of Need. But I don't know what albums to get because they're so expensive.

If you like those songs definitely get D*mnation.

Although that album only really shows one side of their musical stylings.

Blackwater Park and Still Life have a good mix I feel, although still with less acousticy stuff than the metally stuff.

coolidgeALL 03-23-2005 01:52 PM

ok guys recommend me some music... If I like, Judas priest, maiden, metallica, Helloween, (etc.) what should I check out?

Triangle 03-23-2005 01:54 PM

I've recently got In Absentia by Porcupine Tree and was wondering what album I should get next of theirs? Thanks.

Deadwing is out very soon (in Europe) and I'm guessing it will sound pretty similar to In Absentia as it's the follow up album, so you could wait for that.

I love the 2 CD Signify album though.
