metapod is good if you evolve your caterpie. he's garbage if you catch it wild
i think i'm going to buy fire red tomorrow so i can play it on the way and back from my cottage |
How do I play Pokemon on my computer?! Someone walk me through this right now!
http://vba.ngemu.com/ Download this program. After you have it, go http://www.emuwizards.com/. Go to Roms/ISOs, then go to GBA. Click on the picture, or the closest link to the picture. (you can't direct link on the site, or I'd tell you.) This has all the pokemon games currently out besides Silver and Gold. **** silver and Gold. I also recommend: Fire Emblem series, Shining Force, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, Golden Son, and the Zelda games at the bottom of the page. Open Visual Boy, then go to file, open, and then find where you put your Roms. "Open" the roms, and then play. If you want to play Yellow, then do the same thing, but click on the Gameboy Color. |
it won't work when i try to download fire red
edit: i downloaded it, but now i can't play it... edit again: i got it working, but when i get to the main screen it says "The 1M sub-circuit board is not installed". |
I'm no so convinced that Tony is dead, but I wasn't playing 100% attention when it happened, so it's possible that they said outright that he was. They didn't honor him with a silent clock or anything, like they did with Edgar, and that would be completely ****ed up.
He supposedly died from a large dose of hyoscine-pentothal. Now, I don't know **** about the drug, but the man who it was being used on was a guy much older than Tony, and had already had several doses. He was also in a coma. The dose was potentially dangerous for the old guy, enough to to kill. But Tony? A more or less healthy, young dude that hadn't had any previous doses? I don't think so. I think he's messed up, but not dead. Mostly as evidence from the fact that they didn't give him a silent clock.
The official fox site says Tony dies. I think the reason for the non-silent clock was more because of the mood. Henderson had just escaped and the music was big and pumped and exciting, and a silent clock wouldn't have fit. But Edgar died it was already silent, so the normal clock wouldn't have fit either. |
it started working, then the game said theres no 1m, sub-certian board installed or something :(
|
same with me butler...
|
it won't work when i try to download fire red
edit: i downloaded it, but now i can't play it...
...Did you unzip it? Open > Find the .gba file, click it, then click open. Still doesn't work? Assorted settings that you should have: Option > Video > Render Method In the first section, it should be OpenGL. In the second section (they're divided by bars), turn on all three. In the third, D3D Bilinear In the forth, GL Nearest, GL Triangle. Option > Emulator Check "on"... Synchronize Automatic IPS patching Real Time Clock BMP format Still doesn't work? Turn off the sound. It sounds crappy anyway. |
you guys suck at roms

Its true, its true. |

I wouldn't put it past them to put false information on the website to make everyone start talking about Tony dying. Then...BAM OMG HE'S ALIVE. There would be rejoicing in the streets. He died too stupidly for him to really be dead....yeah, an 60 year old guy wakes up from a drug-indused coma fully alert enough to overpower a young man and stab him with a needle in seconds, and THEN run out of the complex. Bull****. |
it won't get into the game. it says i don't have some circuit board installed or something
|
it won't get into the game. it says i don't have some circuit board installed or something
haha, ive gave up. Watching the commenwelth games now, rugby 7's is pm  |
i'm really itching to play now! i won't go to bed happy unless i have started on my way to being a pokemon master!
|
You guys suck at roms. I've had plenty of problems with games ****ing up, but never once have I had it say I don't have a circuit board installed.
|
Well we both have it, so it must be the emulators, or the rom, i duno.
|
I have a picture of me posing like a Pokemon trainer in my backyard in front of this huge stuffed Pikachu. I'm holding a plastic Pokeball and everything!
It's from last summer. I really should put it on my emospace. I'm sure it would get some laughs. |
Pigeot and Clefable suck, dude. Seriously.
Use Alakazam. He's fast as ****ing hell and he learns physic fairly early. Also, using Haunter/Gengar or Snorlax isn't a bad idea. Snorlax is a ****ing tank and can take hits forever. The ghost pokemon are awesome against Bruno in the elite four, and if you're one of those dudes who trains like a mofo, night shade will be your most consistantly high-damaging attack. Zapdos > Raichu. Pikachu learns Thunderbolt really early in yellow, which is sweet, but he's outshined by Zapdos later. Seriously.
I like Raichu, and he is pretty good. Zapdos is a lot better, but I wanna try it with Raichu. I may end up getting rid of Clefable because I evolved it way to early, so now it won't learn any more moves. For my 6th pokémon, I was thinking about Gengar, but I need to trade for it to evolve and that is a bitch. I was also thinking Snorlax, but then I have way too many normal pokémon. |

Just use Haunter and Abra's evolution. The trading-upgrades aren't that special. There are no good grass moves in the entire game, and, thus, there are no good grass pokemon. Gravler isn't bad, just use him. He's common. |
Gengar and any other "ghost" Pokemon in the original games are useless, because they're half poison type, too.
That makes them vulnerable as hell. /sounds like an eight year-old |
Well, my for sure line-up has Charizad, Pidgeot, and Raichu. I will put Articuno in there as well. Clefable will stay in there until I find a replacement. I need a good grass-type.
|
I've been playing my newly downloaded Pokemon Yellow for the last two hours and listening to Sunn o))).
|
Matt: You're kind of limited grass-wise, for selection at least.
|
Matt: You're kind of limited grass-wise, for selection at least.
Yeah, I know. It would be nice to have one, but I might not be able to get one. |
Yeah.
They never really have given you a good mix of things you can catch in the wild. |

Pidgeot sucks. All flying/normal pokemon suck, and suck completely. What are they strong against? Grass and bug and fighting. The first two are covered by charizard, and, if you're smart and you use Abra, fighting is taken care of too, with a pokemon that is faster and has far higher special attack. I would want a fighting pokemon, too. Hitmonlee is amazing, use him. |
Pidgeot is fast, though.
I usually raise a bird Pokemon similar to it simply for speed. It's a good closer, plus it can use fly. |

I hate how in Leafgreen, megapunch (and I'm assuming kick) have been made Normal-type attacks.
That really makes no sense... |
nah, get hitmon-something (the punching guy) because than you can get fire punch, ice punch, electric punch, and one other really strong punching attack.
your line-up should be: charizard, lapras, kadabra/haunter, raichu/zapdos, dragonite (start with a dratini), and something else as a filler, or a last resort. |
The list I'm looking at:
Charizard Hitmonlee or Hitmonchan Lapras (Articuno if I get bored) Raichu Pidgeot Vileplume |
