Hey they need to get paid just like everyone else.

Kaden 08-01-2006 08:21 PM

I know I'm probably waaaaaaay behind everyone else, but I just discovered Jay-Z 2 days ago. Now I have Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint, The Black Album, and Unplugged, and they're all great albums.

Styles Of Beyond are also part of Demigodz, I'm yet to hear alot of their stuff though...

well, I've been getting all this off soulseek so there's not much "finding" involved, but I'll be sure and check it out.

Not a huge fan of Jay-Z, although I heard some of his songs he goes into the studio and basically freestyles.

ATM 08-02-2006 08:28 AM

So I downloaded these Sage Francis albums which are collections of live material and B-sides and stuff.

So good. The live stuff is with Gruvis Malt who bring a whole new dimension to the songs. Any Sage fans really need to get me on AIM or something for these:

It's turns into like a 20 minute freestyle, but it's good stuff.....pretty funny.

JonM 08-02-2006 06:10 PM

HAHAHAHA Adman is on iTunes! You have to listen to it!

mikexmcdaniel 08-02-2006 06:27 PM

Gang Starr is on my list of artists to check out.

ATM 08-02-2006 10:32 PM

Gangstarr are definantly worth looking into. Guru has such a cool laid back style and DJ Premier has awesome jazzy beats.

Check out Ex Girl To Next Girl.

Dice 08-02-2006 10:54 PM

What I like about Gang Starr, to me, is they have that 90s hiphop feel to them.

AND he did a song with Big L?! that's earned alot of respect.

antiant 08-02-2006 11:28 PM

guru's jazzmatazz stuff is some good shyt...got that downtempo vibe

ATM 08-03-2006 08:21 AM

Awesome, Slick Rick just announced a show near me. I have to go, I have missed too many good shows!

purplefeet 08-03-2006 01:10 PM

argh, this terrible older "Trick Daddy" song is on tv right now. its the one where he stole the tune from "Boogie Shoes". Its so bad and none of the lyrics flow nicely with the song for the most part.

JonM 08-03-2006 02:29 PM
 Is he gangsta?
He's straight thuggin.
Jon, if you review that Adman album, I will e-love you forever.
As soon as I can track it down without having to pay for it, I'm on it.
