Isn't the cover of the aussie one green and red instead of blue and red???
|
Um, on my version, it's red and green, but it says it's from Japan.
And it does have Kick out the Jams/How I Could Just Kill a Man live. |
^Yes.

What are you talking 'bout? |
On the American version of Renegades, the live versions of "How I Could Just Kill a Man" and "Kick Out The Jams" are hidden tracks. The Australian version has them listed.
There's another version of Live & Rare where they have "The Ghost of Tom Joad" as a bonus track, I believe.
the aussie version of Renegades contains 3? extra tracks from the live at the grand olympid audiotorium DVD, only converted into music instead of video
What other song is there? |
No shelter I think...
|
Which is Fuck the Police on?
|
live and rare
|
Ohh ok. :-/ From the name, is it fair to assume that it's pretty hard to come by?
|
Live & Rare. I picked it up from Barnes & Noble online.
It's not hard to find, it just contains two "rare" tracks and 10 live tracks. It was used to promote Rage for a tour of Japan. The two rare tracks are "Darkness" and "Clear the Lane". "Darkness" was used on the soundtrack to "The Crow". "Clear the Lane" was used on their demo tape. It didn't make the cut for the first album, obviously. I wasn't surprised, it didn't really stand out much to me. |
i thought hadda be playin was the best song on L&R. and it is No Shelter
|
I didn't like "Hadda Be Playin' On A Jukebox". It gave some insight into Rage's influences, but it just wasn't Rage. It does make me want to look into Alan Ginsberg, though. I'll do that someday.
I liked "Darkness". It had a nice jazzy feel to it and I hadn't really heard a song like that from Rage before I bought the album. Oh, and the lyrics booklet murders the lyrics. You gotta laugh at the translator. It just doesn't make sense in some parts. |

How come I don't have them on mine? Mine is the U.S. version. |
You what sucks I only listened to "Fistful Of Steel" for the first time yesterday. It's such a great song, in fact I'm listening to it right now.
"If the vibe is suicide you would push the button, but if you're bowing down than let me do the cutting." :thumb: and now I'm listening to "Township Rebellion" for the first time. I suck!! :upset: |
First time? wtf? I almost feel sorry for you man.

 And You only listened to those tracks now!?!? Are you mental? :p |

Some people might say. I knew how they started I just always skipped them to get to Freedom. Besides I already said "I'm such a loser" |
I was working on learning the self titled all the way through including solos, but I kinda lost interest. I learned Bombtrack,Killing in the Name (sept for solo due to lack of whammy) Settle for Nothing, Know Your Enemy (sept for part of solo), Wake up, (most of) Fistfull of steel, and (most of) Freedom.

Have a look friends. RATM flashback

Yeah, I told my self that I was gonna learn the entire S/T.
I kind of hit a roadblock in a huge way at Take the Power Back. Darn solos. |
I never learned all of them except "Bombtrack", "Know Your Enemy", and "Freedom". I didn't even bother learning the entire songs. I just had fun screwing around with my Digitech, which I now hate to use.
I never bothered learning the solos as Morello played them. I improvise a lot, often too much. It's all fun anyway.
How come I don't have them on mine? Mine is the U.S. version.
Well, they come after "Maggie's Farm" but I'm not really sure. I have the American version, and they hid the tracks just by not listing them. I don't know why you don't have them if they're not after "Maggie's Farm". Sorry. |

Well, you can't dwell on the past. Dr. Jake I have more proof I'm a "retard." Today I went to work, then I realized that I don't work today, but tomorrow. :( |
Ha, pwned by the work schedule.
Maybe soon I'll try to learn a whole Rage album all the way through (I play drums). |
