John song most of their songs, although im not totally sure, my guess is that John was singing it.
Wow, you don't know much.

John sang most of them in the earlier days, but starting with Sgt. Pepper's, Paul got to sing most of them. Paul sang lead vocals on 8 songs in Sgt. Pepper's (inc. Day in the Life) whereas John sang 4 (inc. Day in the Life). And John just has a scant few on MMT.

Pretty much, whoever wrote it, sang it. In the earlier days, however, it was just mostly all harmonies, and a lot of co-writing.

Does anyone know where i can find some Silver Beatles audio?

Walrus Gumboot 01-02-2005 06:42 PM

I think that whoever sings the songs was the primary writer of them. I know that it always says lennon/mccartney, even if its a track like "Revolution 9" which was composed by John and Yoko, but some definatly seem like either john OR paul wrote them instead of both.
Its kinda strange how John sang so much in the earlier days. I think Paul has an incredible voice, that is probably better than John's, but I prefer John's high-pitched voice more
George is hard to tell... maybe somewhere inbetween John and Paul
Is that the Rolling Stone's Rock 'n Roll Circus? I want to see that so bad!

Wow, what a lineup. Mitch Mitchell is one of my favorite drummers. Keith Richards on bass though?
yep Richards on bass, n eric clapton was still in cream at the time,

i think it is the rolling stone's rock n roll circus, because Mick Jagger is talking with John at the start n they are both stoned :naughty:

Sgt._Joker 01-03-2005 03:35 AM
Man, you need to hook me up with that! What an awesome lineup.
That i might b able to do, i just gotta find the attachment limmit of my email server... do u use hotmail? the file is 52.2Mbs so way to big to send over by email, but if u download "limewire" www.downloads.com or maybe its www.download.com and search Rolling Stone's Rock and Roll Circus, it will come up with John Lennon, Eric Clapton and the Hendrix Experiance band n thats what u want

DeusExMachina 01-03-2005 07:00 PM

Awesome. Thanks a bunch, man.

NERFHERDER111 01-03-2005 09:47 PM
I thought the Rolling Stones Rock 'n Roll circus was never completed? Maybe that clip was released anyways though. Regardless, that's such an amazing line up.
the rock n roll circus wasnt released for a long time cause the mick thought the stones sounded horrible, and the other bands, especially the who, seemed to overshadow them. fortunately though it was realeased a couple o years ago and i saw it on amazon.com for 15 bucks. im plannin on buyin it soon enough it looks pretty awesome. btw, lennon clapton richards an mitchell are called the dirty mac.

DeusExMachina 01-04-2005 04:10 PM

Man. I need to pick that up. That sounds like it would have been the coolest concert ever.

Sgt._Joker 01-04-2005 07:26 PM

It looks like john lennon is in every episode and/or Dirty Mac

DeusExMachina 01-04-2005 08:40 PM

Sgt._Joker 01-04-2005 08:51 PM

Did Dirty Mac ever release a CD? or single for that matter?

DeusExMachina 01-04-2005 09:29 PM

None that I know of. What do people think of The Traveling Wilburys? I just got into them pretty recently, good stuff. Kind of scary how many big names were in that group.

BludgeonySteve 01-04-2005 10:20 PM

Yes, some of my favorite songwriters in one group. How many albums did they make?

DeusExMachina 01-05-2005 05:03 PM

They released two studio albums, and there's some boot legs. If you have AIM, I can send some of their stuff to you.

Broken Arrow 01-05-2005 05:07 PM

I have one of their albums on viynl.:)

Like who?

BludgeonySteve 01-05-2005 05:46 PM

Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Roy Orbison and Jeff Lynne.

Sgt._Joker 01-05-2005 06:18 PM

Bob Dylan + George Harrison would of been a good song writting team,
What do u guys think would b the Ultimate Band e.g mine would be

Bob Dylan/John Lennon (either, or both) (Rythem Guitar/ Song Writer)
Eric Clapton (Lead and possibly Writer)
Keith Richards/John Entwistle (Bass)
George Harrison (ukulele/writer)
John Bonham (drums)

Great Beatles' discussion!

Anyway, mine would be:

Lennon on vocals
Clapton or Hendrix on lead
Jack Bruce on bass
McCartney on piano
Queen on harmonic vocals
Keith Moon on drums

Woodstock 01-05-2005 07:31 PM

Lennon on vocals
Hendrix on lead
Jeff Beck on rythm
Young on harmonica
Waters on bass
Mitchell on drums

DeusExMachina 01-05-2005 07:56 PM

Mine would be...

Van Morrison on vocals
David Gilmour on guitar
Brian Ritchie (I think that's his name... dude from The Violent Femmes) on Bass
Charlie Watts on drums

That band is on a strict rule of one guitarist, one singer, one bassist, one drummer. Those aren't necessarily my favorite musicians on their respective instrument, but I think their styles would mesh really well.

Walrus Gumboot 01-06-2005 03:08 PM

John Lennon isn't a good enough harmonica player?

DeusExMachina 01-06-2005 03:37 PM

Well, Lennon is singing. Lennon can sing and Young can harmonize on harmonica! That would be an interesting sound.

Woodstock 01-06-2005 03:40 PM
John Lennon isn't a good enough harmonica player?

Young is a better harmonica player than Lennon.

BasShorty 01-06-2005 04:20 PM

****, i really tried to put together an ultimate band, but i failed as usual, since my band would involve too many basses and guitars :upset:
