Apocalyptic Raids 01-17-2007 09:00 AM

You know there is a thread for reporting stuff in guitar, right?

kurrpt 01-17-2007 09:01 AM

not really

Dr. Jake Destructo 01-17-2007 09:58 AM

Guitar mods* suck though.

I actually don't see a problem with that Opeth thread. He just wanted a quick answer, which he got. Usually in the 'official' Opeth thread you have to ask in the middle of some random discussion about why Ghost Reveries sucks and/or why people prefer old Opeth and/or why Axenrot sucks and/or why he doesnt.

Nostalgia 01-18-2007 11:15 AM

I believe the mods now allow little recommendation threads like that, simply because they're usually closed after the guy gets his answer. Plus, it's not really a huge deal because he can get his answer there instead of going to the Opeth thread where there's already a lot of backed up discussion.

Dr. Jake Destructo 01-18-2007 01:57 PM

Very little moderating is done any more, the rules thread is really misleading.

I'm not complaining about the strictness, but maybe some kind of amendment should be made since we're no longer subject to Ken's nazi antics.

Stoic 01-18-2007 03:06 PM

I doubt anyone reads the rules...

Riva 01-18-2007 03:10 PM

Lots of moderating is done, just we're trying a different approach. And the rules thread is fine how it is, since it's better to come down easier than the detailed punishment, rather than harder.

Dr. Jake Destructo 01-18-2007 06:41 PM

Maybe you guys are more covert or something then. What do I know.

Tyler 01-19-2007 08:32 PM

I can vouch for Riva. I mod/admin on a smaller forum and I do a lot more than people realize.

Of course, and you have excellent choice in avatars.

Silenius 01-20-2007 02:09 AM

I always wanted a big avatar but I've never won jack **** in my years here.

About modding - I think the less you notice mods, the better a job they are doing of keeping the forum running smooth.

JohnXDoesn't 01-20-2007 05:17 AM

Thanks Riva. Pete is absolutely awesome :D
