I think I'm farther than that. I'm on the boss where Rinoa and Ultimecia mends together. I can't use my GF's, which has become my main weapon, because it'll kill Rinoa. I can't get out of that place because Rinoa has been kidnapped again and the few monsters you meet inside the dungeon gives like 1 exp for some reason. Very difficult.
No, you beat Adel+Rinoa and then Ellone starts time compression and you end up in this weird as dimension where off the shore of Edea's house is Ultimecia's castle thing and there's huge chains and portals. One of the portals get's you back to the world map and you can fly the ragnarok and stuff. |
i can't play an ff without totally raping it nowadays
like curiosity takes over and i end up getting absolutely every optional thing even when i'm playing a new one the first time through |

Ahh, sorry I mixed up those bitches. But I have a hard time beating Adel and Rinoa. She refuses to die! I don't know how many times I've been up to +1 hour trying to beat her, then Rinoa dies... Well, this is what happens when you don't upgrade weapons like you should. |
I raped Ultimecia the first time through by chaining Lionheart limit breaks. Omega Weapon was by far the hardest boss for me.

everyone go to my thread and comment on my mix !!!!

like curiosity takes over and i end up getting absolutely every optional thing even when i'm playing a new one the first time through
That's what I'm doing with 8 now. I'm doing the Queen of Cards quest which I never even knew existed till I read a card game guide the other day. trying to get every single card, just done the chocobos and Pupu, but some you can only get during this Queen of Cards quest (note: it's not the Balamb garden card club as I thought it was it's an entirely different sub-quest). Then once I've got everything I need from the city locations I'll kick Adel, then level the fuck up. It's annoying how for half the game Rinoa isn't available so she's only like level 21 when Squall is 45.
Ahh, sorry I mixed up those bitches. Also, shitloads of Demolition Ammo with Irvine, then your third character as a healer. TBH upgrading your weapons is only usefull for unlocking Squalls extra Renzokuken moves, because they only take your strength stat up by like 8-10 each time, whereas a decent set of spells will up it by loads. 100 Tornadoes is the best I've found, drawn from Abyss Worms in the catuar desert, Good god I've played these games too many times. |
The card game in FF8 is so addictive.
|
Damn right it is. I used to hate all the odd rules like plus and random, and I still do when I'm trying to win a rare card and I just want it to get it into my collection, but playing a random game with shit cards and using the same/plus to your advantage can be really fun.
|
The card game from 8 is almost as addictive as blitzball from 10. I fuckin' love me some blitzball.
|
The card game from 8 is almost as addictive as blitzball from 10. I fuckin' love me some blitzball.
Fuck yes! Infact, when I was playing 8 I was all like "man I want to play me some blitzball" so I went back to my house just to pick up FF10 so I can play it tomorrow. I always go for the same players though, which is boring, but effective. |
Lol yeah the only player you really need is Brother. I could randomly pick the rest of my team and I'd never lose with that guy.
|
He is hardcore but TBH I don't base my team around him. Zev Ronso is usually my bedrock for the most part due to his stupid high Endurance and the Golden Arm skill (once his shoot is high enough I basically get the ball from kick off and shoot and it gets past most keepers except Rook.
|
Lol yeah the only player you really need is Brother. I could randomly pick the rest of my team and I'd never lose with that guy.
Pretty much this. In fact, I'm pretty sure I only hired two players that weren't in the team - Brother and Wedge. It's all you need. Basically, it just depended on what the style of the opposing team was as to which player I used to attack. Some teams I'd use Tidus, some Wedge and some Brother. If I got bored, I deliberately try to alternate. |
Wedge starts out as a mint striker but when he starts hitting the higher levels he actually becomes one of the best keepers in the game. And there's a Crusader sitting near the thunder temple ofter that failed attack called Kyou who is a mint defender who ends up having more Endurance stat than any of the Ronso team, so I just use him like a tank to draw away half the opposing team, take all the tackles, tell my strikers to centre attack and give them the ball as they sit right by the goal.
|
I loved teh games themselves but thought the card game and blitzball in 8 and 10 respectively were kinda lame.
|
I didn't pay much attention to them the first time through the games but they're a fun distraction, especially if it's your 2nd or whatever time through.
|
I found it hard enough to grind through the levels to be able to take on the higher levels, let alone play the mini games.
Man, I would like to play ff8 or ff10 again, I just don't have any console to allow me to do so. |
Just watched the prestige
had to google what happened in it good film |
Prestige is a mint film.
Aidan you can pick up a PS2 for like £30 on ebay. I got my slimline one for £60 a year or so back. Also: Have just been living under a rock that I didn't know anything about any anti-cut protests on the 26th? I mean I haven't been watching a lot of tv lately but seriously, nothing? I only know about it now because someone posted an article link on Facebook. |
I have a 1st gen PS2 sitting around at my parents' house but I just got an emulator on my PC so I can play old shiz.

I wanted to download super mario world for the wii and retro mario kart but didnt have the correct wii controllers
only turned the wii on to get the new internet wifi on it... We have to use a 3g internet modem router thing, its pants indoors so i stuck it on the roof, get about 2mb upload/download, its not to bad considerin its a 3g midband solution Mygyver McKenna Have an old cat5 cable from an old internet service from the roof to the middle of the house that links up to my wireless N router and main wifi, works pretty well for the minute... + have 2 wifi points in the house so its not bad. Have the power cable running down the chimney to power it, it goes in to a socket behind an electric fire... its seemless and pretty nifty setup |
 Hahahahaha! Al that's well ace.
|
Lol do you live underground?
|
Just in a tent... Nah there's a fair few trees and stuff around I guess, spread out devices in the house etc...
It's mainly a bungalow style house but one end has a 2nd floor.... But the 3.5g reception for that network (Three) sucks... I have another mobile broadband usb stick from another network (Meteor) that works great, but im sick of having no wifi and its crappy download data limits, had to move to a 30gig plan on Three which gives u this router that's now on the roof! Ironicly and very annoyingly, the top 2 towns for downloads (with an average of 14Mb and 11Mb) in the whole country reside less than 5 minutes drive from my location, yet I can't avail of ANY fixed internet services Gayballs It's not bad at the minute, I've 2 WiFi points in the house at each end and managed to hook everything up... xbox, wireless printer, wii, phones, laptops and a PC Once the connection is over 2Mb tis fine, and I'm conent for most if not all internet shizzle it does the trick |

Sup guitar peeps. I've come from the bass part of here. Anyone fancy recording some guitar for a cover of a Glassjaw song I'm doing? I've never really done any kind of real programming/recording before so I'm pretty much using this for practice in mixing/programming.
