I really have problems with a singer with little talent saying an obviously trained and talented vocalist like James isn't any good.

Not even that though. He had a problem with LaBrie's "gay hair". The fact that he disliked the operatic style was secondary to the dislike of the gayness of his hair. You sort of have to read the whole article, it really sheds some light on that Hinds guy's attitude towards music. He basically sees it as a vehicle for expressing his drugged-up fantasies.
