Really though, what a combination that would be, Metal heads combining with emo kids all across the land. What a unholy alliance that would be.

Just cause i'm not into sound-alike, samey, no talent, whiney, shite...Emo/Pop-Punk it doesn't make me close minded. You keep forgeting that not so long ago Blink were my favourite band and I'd be like you and be all defensive. My musical taste's have matured alot latley so don't give me all that.

Untitled 10-22-2004 02:35 PM

I like all sorts of bands though, i proberly listen to indie just as much as pop-punk, my taste has matured, i love the music i listen too, im not a "sound alike, no talent, whiny ****e" Jeez, i look nowt like the average pop-punker/emo kid. Well i dont think so. And just becuase my hairs black it dont mean i am, i planed on doing it in 03, before i liked emo, and before blink were my fave band, round that time it was muse or somone.

Is it the fans or the bands you hate more?

I hate fans of most bands that i like. Is it the same case with emo based bands?

And for the ultimate emo 'appreciation' test, klets see your views on these few.

Funeral For A Friend
Glassjaw
Saves The Day
Dashboard Confessional

We can locate your emo tolerance level from that

Really though? There are always bands popping up that sound the SAME and are in the Pop-punk/Emo catagory. I'm not taking a dig at you for liking it it's just my opinion. But sometimes you do irritate me cause you act like a poser. We all know you will be getting a Fender P-bass with 1/4's to be like Hoppus.

Untitled 10-22-2004 02:41 PM

Im an Emo kid, kinda, i dont cry in the corner.

All them bands are good too

It's both really The fans are elietest (Yes just like me  ) and the bands for making the worst music known to man.

Funeral For A Friend - I hate these, saw them at Reading and they ruin what might of been good by shouting and whining.
Glassjaw - I have a little more respect for this band but not alot
Saves The Day - Liked them not so long ago but realised that 'Most' of their songs sound the same.
Dashboard Confessional - I don't know off this band (Sorry)

that list was what i class as not very emo to completely emo, so it shows that you really are not a big fan of anything that is emo at all.

Im geting a fender p, becuase i like how it feels, i actully dont realy like the look, hence why a got a jazz for my first bass. And 1/4er pounders have a great tone, there realy loud, and punchy, proberly best spilt coils you can get.

Mwaahahahahaha! Tool, I haven't heard much but I have respect for them. I know they use odd time signatures and can be experimental where as I don't have respect for the genre's we're talking about because it contains 0% talent.

Untitled 10-22-2004 02:53 PM

Yeah, one of mine, all root notes though.

And just becuase i want a bass that sounds like his, which has a great tone, dosnt make me a no-talent, i might not know loads of thoery, but i know enough to stay away from constant root note.

Off the top of my head i can think of a few, Marlboro Man, Voyuers bass solo, Josie sounds good, is roots though. And Mutt has an alright bass line.

Not loads i know, but not the one you make out.
