I saw them open for NIN when they were touring for The Fragile, which was a few weeks or so before Mer De Noms was released. That was about 10 years ago... it would be sweet to see them again.

I really wanted to see all 3 nights, but at $40 per ticket (after "convenience charges"), it just wasn't possible financially.

I could very easily do without the eMOTIVe show. Mer De Noms and Thirteenth Step are going to be amazing.

I had no idea these guys were even up to anything. Last I heard was that they were possibly finished and then I didn't hear anything about them until now.

Yeah, I just found out a few weeks ago that they were getting back together, at least for some sort of reunion tour. It's good, though. I really am not a Puscifer fan. I thought Ashes Divide was decent, but nowhere near the power that Tool and APC have.

It's almost been 5 years, so Tool should be coming out with a new album soon, right?

There's been talk for a while now that Tool is writing a new album, but there's no news beyond that. If not this year, I wouldn't be surprised if next year we get something new out of them.

Justin and Danny have confirmed working together first thing after their tour on new tool material. I think maynard just prefers to write his vocals separate anyway. I figured as such. Tool is pretty consistent with one album every five years, and it's obvious that, musically, they spend a lot of time on it, so I don't mind that they don't put out 8 albums per year like TMV or Bright Eyes.

Ashes Divide was Billy Howerdel's project post-APC. Not bad. They had a music video too.

I prefer to write independently, but some collaboration needs to happen at the end to get everything to mesh. "Add this measure before the bridge, let's repeat the chorus twice," etc etc ad nauseum.
