Liebensaft 12-31-2007 10:48 PM

Yeah, Om live would be pretty sweet, I can imagine. I haven't heard a lot of Autechre but I have an album.

Bukowski 12-31-2007 10:55 PM

Amber is like my favourite album of its kind.

I'm looking forward to the show a lot because I've never really seen an artist/band that isn't primarily GUITARS DRUMZ BASS ROCK. Not an established act anyway. It should be cool.

Tyr 12-31-2007 11:34 PM

I just realized that I didn't go to any shows at all in '07.

Zmev 01-01-2008 04:27 AM

I'm still holding out that them or Sigur Ros will support Radiohead when I see them because Thom loves them both and they've both got new material to play.

Neoteric 01-01-2008 07:33 AM
s'hit man, that sucks. I REALLY want to see Om.

I just found out Autechre is playing on March 1st. I'm quite excited about that. My nxt show is Spectrum, who was in Spacemen 3. I haven't heard anything he's done but I'm gonna go and check it out check it out baby.
where is the Autechre going down?

Kyle 01-01-2008 07:47 AM

At the Arts School apparently, nothing even close to a Cardiff date though :(

Interstate 01-01-2008 10:24 AM

I need money to go to shows :(

Anxious 01-01-2008 10:59 AM
I'm seeing Om this month.
Thanks 01-01-2008 12:21 PM

So no one had an eventful new year's eve, then?

samariah 01-01-2008 12:30 PM

not really

Bukowski 01-01-2008 12:32 PM
where is the Autechre going down?
yeah it's at Glasgow School of Art, like Kyle said.

NY eve was excellent, and I saw some old school friends for the first time in a while...but the real party happened the night before for me. Tonight I'm just going to chill, probably.

Neoteric 01-01-2008 12:35 PM

school of art eh? awesome.

Interstate 01-01-2008 12:41 PM
So no one had an eventful new year's eve, then?
Me and a bunch of mates went to a friend's house, the standard new year's get together.

niobium 01-01-2008 01:00 PM

i went to walmart with two friends and got ingredients for nachos, then made them at my house and talked bad about people/friends

Kyle 01-01-2008 01:39 PM

I've never had a really good new years eve :( Always dissapoints, but I don't really like the whole compulsory fun nature of it anyway.

Happymeal 01-01-2008 03:56 PM

Last night I got home 10 minutes before midnight from a road trip to Florida. Good to be back shoveling the driveway. How's everyone?

Zmev 01-01-2008 05:23 PM

Holy **** em sighting

Robert Crumb 01-01-2008 05:39 PM

Hey Happy happy New Year.

Anxious 01-01-2008 07:16 PM

I got drunk with friends, did fireworks, then hotboxed my car...walked around the neighborhood and sat in the park. Came inside and ate 5 plates of cookies and watched 12 oz Mouse.

Fun.

Anxious 01-01-2008 07:23 PM

Highlight that.

Let the fun begin.

pixiesfanyo 01-01-2008 07:26 PM

I worked.

Anxious 01-01-2008 08:00 PM

I called in sick yesterday. I worked today...I think I got triple time though.

I'm looking forward to the obligatory pay raise due to the new minimum wage ...which should be good for about a month until everything else goes up with it. Good thinking Arnold.

Liebensaft 01-01-2008 08:03 PM
I'm seeing Om this month.
Lucky. I don't understand why shows have to be 21+. It just keeps a large part of a band's potential audience from getting to see them play.

Anxious 01-01-2008 08:32 PM

Yeah, its bull. I've missed Neil Hamburger 3 times because its was 21+... theres absolutely no problem with wristbands. It takes a little bit longer but they dont lose that whole chunk of the audience.

Apocalyptic Raids 01-01-2008 08:33 PM

I got drunk and watched fireworks.

Your cars going to smell like that forever
Your cars going to smell like that forever
Last time it took about two weeks of constant windows down/air fresheners for it to be normal. Cigs are worse.

This accident was a result of your own stupidity!

Anxious 01-01-2008 10:03 PM

How?

Gnarmageddon 01-01-2008 10:14 PM

I dunno, you said Neil Hamburger and I thought of Tim and Eric.

Edit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=liGLo6h4O3Q

I didn't even realize he did his own standup. I thought he was just a character on the show.

Anxious 01-01-2008 10:19 PM

Oh, lol.

Yeah he's been around for quite some time. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neil_Hamburger

He owns a record label too that puts out noise/punk artists. He was in some band called the Zip Code Rapists.

Happymeal 01-01-2008 10:54 PM

Taking a break from real life. Universal Studios was pretty tight.
Hey Happy happy New Year.
Happy new year to you too, Bob.

S'hit, I guess you learn something every day.

That's pretty awesome.

br3ad_man 01-01-2008 11:29 PM

Hey Happymeal.

I got Sonic Nurse for $5 today.

AndreTheHyena 01-02-2008 12:04 AM
So no one had an eventful new year's eve, then?
I did. We had the best party we've ever had at our house, tons of people came, lots of records played, everyone trashed out of their minds. Our house is a complete mess, not to mention our front yard.

sgrevs 01-02-2008 02:36 AM

I was at Falls Festival, saw Blackalicious, the Go! Team, and some awesome Tasmanian Gypsy band until 5am.

Rest of the festival was also great, saw Busdriver, Girl Talk, Jose Gonzalez, Built to Spill, The Pipettes, and others. So good.

Zmev 01-02-2008 03:08 AM

So I didn't go to the final or turn in the major project for a class I took this summer and apparently I got a C.

Standards.
