I just need songs to give structure to my two handed tapping. I am lost when it comes to flamenco.... which leads me to...
Recomendations for tapping songs?
I used some lessons on activebass.net I think to get me started with tapping. I think there is one that is like the wooten bass camp practice..thingy...either way its really good. Also, DMV will help build up tapping with your fingering hand. Star Spangled Banner by Stu Hamm is also pretty good for both hands. Of course Overjoyed by Wooten is a nice tapped piece. :thumb:

Accentopus 10-05-2004 12:42 PM

Primus. Jerry was a racecar driver

Espbassor 10-05-2004 12:42 PM

As well as those 2 suggestions :D

Accentopus 10-05-2004 12:44 PM

Experiment and do stuff with it. Try taking a song and tapping it

PaulSimonon 10-05-2004 12:44 PM

I've been looking into DMV and Jerry. I don't have any Hamm to get timings from, or know if I was playing it correctly.

Accentopus 10-05-2004 12:45 PM

Whats DMV

PaulSimonon 10-05-2004 12:45 PM

A Primus song.

Accentopus 10-05-2004 12:47 PM

Oh yeah sorry. I know the one you mean. Thanks

Accentopus 10-05-2004 12:48 PM

The next song i am learning is ToastMachine Funk the world

PaulSimonon 10-05-2004 12:48 PM

Speaking of Primus... who else likes "Southbound Pachyderm"?

PaulSimonon 10-05-2004 12:48 PM
The next song i am learning is ToastMachine Funk the world
By tab or ear?

Accentopus 10-05-2004 12:55 PM

It will be ear, as i guess no-one has got any sheetmusic

ShelBel 10-05-2004 01:01 PM

@ Esp... I don't have the money, I left it in my other jeans... am I stuck?

PaulSimonon 10-05-2004 01:01 PM

I'd say you are.

Accentopus 10-05-2004 01:03 PM

Limbo.....On the border....Of heaven and hell

ShelBel 10-05-2004 01:03 PM

Well f*ck this then!

*storms out of Purgatory*

I still don't get how I can end up somewhere I don't believe exists, but oh well. Back to the land of the living with me!

Accentopus 10-05-2004 01:05 PM

Believe in it, or suffer the wrath of god

PaulSimonon 10-05-2004 01:06 PM

Just because you don't believe it exists doesn't mean that it isn't real. Although reality is all in the mind, according to George Orwell's book 1984.

PaulSimonon 10-05-2004 01:06 PM

If I believe that you are not real, are you real?

Accentopus 10-05-2004 01:08 PM

PaulSimonon 10-05-2004 01:10 PM

Accentopus 10-05-2004 01:13 PM

You are a man with average words. No see you later

PaulSimonon 10-05-2004 01:14 PM

ShelBel 10-05-2004 01:21 PM

Don't believe in "him" either.

And I do see your points about the whole reality thing... wow, has it really been 15 years since I read 1984? Yikes. Although truthfully, Brave New World freaked me out more.

But meh. Doesn't matter, I'm not dead anymore! So THERE! :P

I flaunt my life before your unead eyes! HAH!

FUNKNBASS 10-05-2004 01:26 PM

Reminds me a bit of a John Lennon song.

I won't get into what I believe, as it is rather unorthadox.... but I do believe it to be better to believe in something, and find out that it isn't real than to not belive and find out it is real.

Brave New World is one of the best books ever, but have you seen the movie version?? It made me want to cry, imagine just how many people will only get to know the story through the screen version. It's almost like Walt Disney's Fantasy, just how many kids have only heard classical music through that boring and slow picture?

FUNKNBASS 10-05-2004 01:40 PM

Did i miss anything.

PaulSimonon 10-05-2004 01:41 PM

Meh, me puking again! :thumb:

nisakss 10-05-2004 01:45 PM
Aliens :thumb:
 Maybe you're right. Anyhow, now that we touched the subject, has anyone here ever seen anything that could be an aline or a ghost or any of that methaphysical stuff?? I haven't, but I wish I had... :upset:

Espbassor 10-05-2004 01:46 PM

You know, now that I think on it, my stomach has been feeling upset-ish lately, maybe I came down with aliens too?
