BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 11-14-2004 11:13 PM

A compalation of psychedellic songs from the 60's that are rare.

Malakian Worshipper 11-15-2004 02:13 AM

man im surprised just reading there were that many signed bands back then lol, and this thread is so freakin long already, its just like the death heads thread it just keeps going on without a purpose

BludgeonySteve 11-15-2004 05:15 PM

The purpose of both threads is discussion on it's subject.

Badmoon 11-15-2004 05:21 PM

^You have a chance in the pit to exploit the "pull a badmoon" entry, in the urban dictionary.

BludgeonySteve 11-15-2004 05:24 PM

*took it*

I finally got "Who's Next". That took so long :(

the mighty zep 11-15-2004 05:30 PM

Whos next is one of my favorite albums. I dont like all the previously unrreleased stuff though...i think its better without it.

Everyday i always have a different song from it stuck in my head...so i listen to the entire CD again. Still...im sure youll love it

guitarted838 11-15-2004 05:40 PM

i got whos next its awesome

guitarted838 11-15-2004 05:42 PM

But i would have to say my favorite is Led Zeppelin 2.

It's definitely worth having, but I don't like it as much as most people do. Too much keyboard/synth on most of it. Very good but I prefer the Who's earlier stuff.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 11-15-2004 07:53 PM

Just got Eat a Peach *but has not herd it*.

I like hearing the difference from the who's early stuff to their later stuff.

Yea I do too, sometimes I really like the later stuff, other times, I find myself missing the old stuff. They went through such a change though, it's interesting to hear for yourself.

the change they went through was kind of like the change the beatles went through. they went from suit wearing mods who played fun rock n roll, to artists who were more about self expression in their music. i like the later Who..

it mighta been the drugs.

thickasabrick 11-16-2004 02:46 PM

"who are the grateful dead? and why do they keep following me?" - classic deadhead bumpersticker.

speaking of BUMPerstickers. i really like BUMPerstickers, especially if they BUMPersticker this thread back to the first page so i don't have to search for it all day long.

have we gotten anywhere trying to choose our favourite songs? or have we given up all hope?

Against Miik! 11-16-2004 03:10 PM

This sucks. I'm gonna start a new classic rock thread. It will be password protected so noobs can stay in here and talk about led zeppelin.

Woodstock 11-16-2004 04:03 PM

Sweet, I just found an old Grateful Dead book in my dad's closet. It's called The Grateful Dead Family Album.

BludgeonySteve 11-16-2004 05:31 PM

Nice. Borrowing cds from parents is awesome because you don't have to pay for them.

MalcolmYoungRock 11-16-2004 05:47 PM

It's kind of opposite for me.

They steal MY cds.

:(

BludgeonySteve 11-16-2004 06:01 PM

We're in the chat, you need AIM badly.

Badmoon 11-16-2004 07:33 PM

Maybe we should reformat.

Classic Rock - Changes to - Badmoon's thread of philosophy.

And I'll teach stuff. Like Algebra, and Bluegrass.

Woodstock 11-16-2004 07:34 PM

I'm good at Algebra, but I haven't got my Bluegrass down yet.

Badmoon 11-16-2004 07:36 PM

It's okay :) You'll learn :)

*patts on back*

HappyKnappy 11-16-2004 07:37 PM

Definitely noticing alot more people showing some decent respect to classic rock that it deserves. People my age (high school) I notice have lately turned off alot of the new rock and put on Led Zeppelin,The Who, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Bob Dylan, and so on. I've always listened to classic rock, and am happy to see this happening.

magicbus 11-16-2004 07:37 PM
This sucks. I'm gonna start a new classic rock thread. It will be password protected so noobs can stay in here and talk about led zeppelin.
If that's possible, DO IT.

I also recently noticed how diverse The Who got. One of my favorite songs by them is "Won't Get Fooled Again" cause of the keyboard break. Its so awesome, yet sounds nothing like the early Who. Still, I love all of their stuff though.

floydian-deadhead 11-16-2004 07:40 PM

i am into the dead and floyd, doors, clapton all that stuff, but ive been wanting to get into bluegrass. after all, the first music jerry garcia played was bluegrass on the banjo...

Maybe but both musical movements and bands have a tendancy to progress like that.

Are those zeros or O's ?

RockAndRoll 11-16-2004 10:25 PM

probably zero's.

Anyways Highway to hell is a really easy song to play, but good for live performances.

/random but true.

We've been asked to play it (in french) on friday for 3-4 hundred people. We just practiced it today and it went well even though we all just learnt the song (because it's really easy). I wish we got to play some other stuff though, because this will be the largest audience we've ever played to.
