I've gotten rides to shows with my parents tbh, but I normally ride with friends.

My uni town is dire for decent gigs; me and my friends generally go only because a lot of the gigs are free or very cheap and it gives us the opportunity to lol at abyssmal nu-metal or metalcore bands.
