or you could go to shows alone

It's kind of embarassing to be driven to metal shows by your mom tbh

Invicta_Veritas 11-22-2007 01:55 AM

Rofl.

17, but there's been a lot of upheaval in my life recently and I haven't had time to think about even getting my permit yet.

I actually didn't think about buses, thanks. :p

i am the robots 11-22-2007 02:35 AM

I've gotten rides to shows with my parents tbh, but I normally ride with friends.

7SOR 11-22-2007 05:28 AM

I generally attend the odd local show. There's not much going on around my parts though.

Shotgun Abortion!

That's one of the bands my band will be playing with in January.

VomitStainedCretin 11-22-2007 06:25 AM

My uni town is dire for decent gigs; me and my friends generally go only because a lot of the gigs are free or very cheap and it gives us the opportunity to lol at abyssmal nu-metal or metalcore bands.

LifeInABox 11-22-2007 09:06 AM
Converge, Between The Buried And Me, Decapitated, Suffocation, that's it. :p
I've seen Decapitated and I'm seeing Converge tommorrow.

Do you feel better about yourself afterwards?

VomitStainedCretin 11-22-2007 01:05 PM
Do you feel better about yourself afterwards?
Yes, because it means our band (when we actually have practiced and start playing live) will completely destroy the competition. Also, its funny getting drunk at bad gigs.

I see, at least you're in a band.

I completely understand the "scouting".:chug:

Yes, you must scout the scene before you take it by storm...lol that was cheesy, sorry.
I've seen a couple hundred bands but not many of the death metal variety because most of the fans piss me off to a ridiculous extent.
most of them probably don't take too kindly to metrosexuals who call everything "tacky"

and on the topic of conversation, suffo is insanely good live

Nice insult. Sadly I only call music that is tacky "Tacky".

And nice half-hearted attempt at bringing it back on topic. Nice opinion, how much was it on sale for when you grabbed it from the last 10 pages?

No, I don't go to many death metal shows because I don't want some dirty idiot whipping his unwashed hair into my mouth. Most of them are over priced, too.

masscows 11-22-2007 06:08 PM

Except I saw Suffocation last Friday and it was the most intense show I've ever been to, so...I'd say it was about $17+the price of merch I bought.
Except I saw Suffocation last Friday and it was the most intense show I've ever been to, so...I'd say it was about $17+the price of merch I bought.
It was still an awful attempt at trying to seem coy. Not only was your insult laughable, but your attempt at bringing this back on topic is marred by your lethargy; you can't even be bothered to spell out Suffocation in full.

Real passionate guy, you are.

masscows 11-22-2007 06:12 PM

It was a joke, stop taking playful insults so seriously.

Riva 11-22-2007 06:23 PM
wow luc, you dont get out much do you?
Or he might live in a "remote" area. Stupid fucking North Americans are so spoilt for shows god I hate your kind so much.
They're really really good live.

Suffocation have strangely inconsistent lyrics.

i am the robots 11-22-2007 06:27 PM

Veil Of Maya is really good live, and this is a pic of me from their show:

By inconsistent you mean having different topics or?

17 bucks seems a little steep. Who else played?

Riva 11-22-2007 06:28 PM

I'm fairly certain he means inconsistent as going from well-written to childish.

LifeInABox 11-22-2007 06:30 PM

What?

i am the robots 11-22-2007 06:30 PM

I will never, ever, stop krumping at shows. X on hand = underage.

Just look at thow all the "hardcore" kids stopped dancing and just stood away.

Immolation, Skinless and a shitty local band. It was worth it.
