Dave probably uses the Em pentatonic a lot too, I've never really looked.
But his solos have much more variety and are more interesting.

Dave uses Pentatonics in interesting, different ways instead of the same way every time.

But Hammett's first solo in Fade To Black is quite a bit different to the second, or even third solo.

btw I'm not saying all of his solos are bad, he has a few good moments. Daves solo's jsut seem more enjoyable but he was never the lead guitarist tho which probably is a good thing, imagine Hangar 18 without Marty :confused:

Kirk-Harmonic Minor, Natural Minor
Dave- Chromatic (unless he was just using passing tones)

dave has awesome vocals. way better then hetfields.

i find dave's nasely vocals add a lot to the atmosphere, while James just has a pretty standard vocal style (not bad, but don't stand out)

That's still not a huge variety.

Dave's vocals have always worked great with Megadeth, i love his vocals, and Hetfield's vocals fit in perfectly with Metallica's first 5 albums, but now its a shame he blew his voice out
