ben i haven't been to a guitar concert in a while except my teacher alan thomas' i giardini del sogno is pretty sweet, i realised it's basically like the musical version of the movie inception, it's got all these ideas about layers and mutations of dream space and all these different variations being nested in each other i could scan the sheet in at some point it has this weird way of writing rubato where it'll do sequences of tuplets like 4:5. 5:5, 6:5, 7:5, 8:5, 8:6, 8:7, 8:8 also who do you think are the best recording guitarists |
fuck it
i like tesseract. heard some songs of theirs at the gym on the radio and holy shit i got my fuckin pump on to that shit |
nice thatd be cool to check out if u can sounds interesting
my fave cd by far is tilman hoppstock ponce sonatas and variations its out of this world hes got a heap of cds i can only comment on the 2 i have but hes seriously amazing i gotta get some more u can listen to some samples on his site theres a couple of ur kurz piece from a live recording http://www.t-hoppstock.de/CDs.html another cd i love is david russell renaissance favourites ive heard some of his others they are solid but this one is somethin else denis azabagic i have 2 marcin dylla cds they are brilliant i used to buy the naxos laureate ones all the time most of em are average but there are some real gems and they are dirt cheap lorenzo micheli jerome ducharme goran krivokapic pablo sainz villegas was pretty good graham devine is a good player and plays great music i really enjoy his brouwer cd and british guitar music what about u |
http://www.last.fm/user/ignitionturbo
similar tastes tbh. i don't have any krivokapic cds though, but i like the wehrmuller sonata on youtube and his bach the hoppstock ponce variations are amazing paganini is quite impressive too also pretty cool that he did brouwer estudios sencillos i don't think he ever really plays the kurz other than on that recording |
fuck it
i like tesseract. heard some songs of theirs at the gym on the radio and holy shit i got my fuckin pump on to that shit
I think they're pretty awesome. I hate to call them 'djent' or whatever the kids are calling them nowadays, they're just progressive technical metal to me. Awesome live, too. |
btw i decided the guitars are panned and u gotta deal with THAT
lol where my vox champ |
btw i decided the guitars are panned and u gotta deal with THAT
lol where my vox champ
That's cool and all but you're wrong. And I said in the week dammit. |
dude should i upload what it sounds like centered
should i |
Go for it dude but I'm still not the only one that's noticed and pointed it out. Don't know what's going on on your end but I'd seriously start from scratch with the chorus guitars and see what happens.
|
nice man tilmans awesome that werthmuller piece goran plays is his iirc
on the ponce i love the sonata 3 and the finale to the 1st set of variations lol dude i have a terrible memory did we trade a couple of his albums ages ago ever since u mentioned the kurz piece ive been gettin this weird feeling that ive heard hoppstocks recording of it but dont remember buying it i think its on my old computer and here i am asking if uve heard it lmao |
yeah idk if we traded it but we definitely talked about it before
it came on cd with the score so i could rar it and send it your way in a bit if you want |
