The main problem is that I don't have any friends who are into metal.

I've seen a couple hundred bands but not many of the death metal variety because most of the fans piss me off to a ridiculous extent.

I just found a great band. Corpus Necromanthum. I just got ahold of thier EP/Demo Underworld Inquisition. Very raw, but good stuff.
