The community thread provides us regulars to R&M a much less... n00bish environment to talk in.

Basically, the Pit is nothing but a dumping ground for spam, and the most painfully un-funny people on MX.

THe R&M community thread is more carefully monitored by the local mods, and provides moer quality conversation. In general, anyway.

It's always like that in The Pit. You get the vets who can get away with anything and you get the newer members trying to stand up to them. They never win.

The best way to deal with the Pit is to just avoid trying to be funny until you have around 500 posts.

Yeah, you just have to keep fairly quiet and learn to spot the cool people, and leave the wankers to their own devices.
