Well PM isn't better by a lot. If you combined both you'd have one amazing album.

Now that would be a cool idea, though it would look like a greatest hits album. |
yeah but Sodoms best stuff is pretty much off PM and AO. There are a few later and earlier tracks i would pick too, but i'd choose stuff mainly of those 2.
|
Agreed.
Sodom's albums after those two are very underrated. I think Tapping the Vein is right up there with PM and AO. |
Nuclear Winter is probably my favorite Sodom song, but I think Agent Orange works better as an album.
I agree completely there. |
I've been listening to Persecution Mania a bit these days. CHRIST PASSION \m/
Anyways, since we're discussing SODOM, I'd think some of you gusy should check this out. http://www.smnnews.com/index.php?subaction=showcomments&id=1120681100&archive=&start_from=&ucat=& SODOM and Finntroll U.S tour later this year. :amaze: |
Yeah, I heard about that, and I'll believe it when I see it. Sodom have a reputation of pulling out of tours at the last minute, plus they'd have a hard time getting venues to play in because there's no thrash market here at all.
Finntroll is another story though. I think they'd have little problem finding places to play. I think if Sodom doesn't mind not headlining most of the tour, then that tour could become a reality. I hope they play though; I REAAALLY want to see them (Finntroll included). |
Yeah, Sodom needs to stop with thier last minute crap, it's quite annoying, but if this works out it will be cool, especially with Finntroll. They are one of the few bands I like that are cheesier than shit. :thumb:
NP: Destruction - Confused Mind (If you listen to the acoustic part of this song and listen to one of the acoustic interludes on Coroner's RIP which came out a year later, they are almost exactly the same. Escpecially how they end with a few harmonic notes.....it sounds dead on. Edit: I realized I suck at life because I can not spell....I edited this post like 4 times....I thought everyone should know :upset: |
Gotta love polka metal. :D
|
Yeah, someone recommended them to me. So, I checked them out on Metal-Archives and it said Polka Influenced Folk/Black Metal......and I had no idea how that was possible, so I grabbed an album by them, and I was quite please even with the mass quantities of cheese

I stumbled upon them the same way. |
I totally forgot what the last Zelda game was...probably the one for N64.
Sadly I never kept up with the gaming consules. :upset: However, Black Hawk Down is a pretty bad *** game for the PC. Delta Force never disappoints. The humvee levels are like a Disneyland ride with a .50 caliber attached to it. Edit: random...I know. I need to take care of a few things, then rest before 11 tonight because I need to get over whatever I might be coming down with x_x...**** weather change.
There've been a few on gamecube. The last good one was Wind Waker. Considering you can get a cube where I live for about $AUD70, it's quite a good deal. On the other hand.......I'm looking for a good site to buy new releases on vinyl. I'm sick of the whole CD thing...if I want digital music, I'll download it. I've found a few label sites, but they mainly don't have the option of sorting out CD releases. I realise this stuff is mostly dead and mostly not done any longer (I was really dissapointed when the newest Megadeth album wasn't on LP), but for some things like the new Atheist reissues I'd definately like to use my great turntable (an inheritance). So does anybody have any ideas? |
I agree.
/me waits for m-m to come in here, see both of our posts, and then unleash hell
 hey! thats my line :p |
Rust in Peace is defeinitly me favourite thrash album :D

I had to say it. :D NP: Agent Steel - Enslaved |
In responce to that vio-lence question about 2days ago and about 7pages away lol! the live album stands up to EN its ****ing brutal even though it only has 4 tracks i think of EN stuff like ageless eyes and world in a world just destroy if you dont have the album i seriously suggeat getting it.

Having recently acquired Slayer's Show No Mercy and Megadeth's Peace Sells... But Who's Buying, I can say they're probably the best thrash metal albums (and therefore the best albums) I've heard. Curse me for ever having considered Reign In Blood and Rust In Peace the pinnacle of either band!
And while Metallica's 80's stuff rules, as do Kreator and Testament, I'm just not convinced anything can top early Megadeth and Slayer as thrash metal Gods. /me bows down |
Though Megadeth are among my 3 favorite bands, as far as thrash goes I'd have to say Darkness Descends and Punishment For Decadence are both better than any of those bands' albums (cept maybe Kreator) as thrash albums. Rust in Peace > KIMB > SFSGSW > Peace Sells, IMO of course. Nice purchases though. |
Rust in Peace > KIMB > SFSGSW > Peace Sells, IMO of course.
Ahhh, of course, the comparison of Megadeth albums. Always fun to do :) RIP = CTE > SFSGSW > KIMB > Peace Sells |
To get into that Sodom argument...
Persecution Mania is better for sure. Agent Orange is great, but it just seems a little too dragged out at times...and PM is just like... YAAAAAAAAAAARGH! all the way. |
oh, it's Megadeth album comparing time.......again
RIP > KIMB > PSBWB > CTE > SFSGSW |
Megadeth comparisons eh?
Here we go, this is mine. KIMB = PSBWB >>> The Rest. |
Man, I hate comparing Megadeth albums, because their best song imo (In My Darkest Hour) is on one of their worst albums imo (So Far, So Good, So What).
Anyways... Peace Sells > Rust In Peace > Countdown To Extinction > The System Has Failed > EVERYTHING ELSE |
my Vio-lence re-issue still hasnt turned up(nor my Vengeance CD's or my Annihilator..) never mind though, Eternal Nightmare is on my computer :D along with a live vid of Calling In The Coroner
I love SFSGSW, seriously. Into the Lungs of Hell is a great instrumental, Set the World Afire is classic Megadeth, Anarchy meh, Mary Jane is great, 502 is a good fast track, In My Darkest Hour is amazing, Liar is another fun track, Hook in Mouth is ace as well. |
It is a far from bad album, but it's definatley not my favorite. I would have to say it is pretty underrated though

Went to Ozzfest last yesterday. Mastadon was the only band on the second stage worth seeing. The main stage was great except for Mudvayne. Iron Maiden put on the best show I have ever seen. Their setlist was Ides of March, Wrathchild, Phantom of the Opera, The Trooper, Revelations, Run to the Hills, The Number of the Beast, Hallowed be thy Name, Running Free and Sanctuary. Black Sabbath was good, but weak compared Maiden.
