Figures the only time I come on all weekend and it's dead as hell.

I'm going to go skate in my basement.

I'm supposed to be at work but it was raining so I think I'm going in after :-\

Look up two posts.:p

Last night I got a huge bruise on my shoulder. My dad has MS (Multiple Sclerosis), which is a disease and it affects how he walks. So I was helping him walk so he could go upstairs to go to bed, and we got him out of his chair and he had taken a few steps and I was behind him, moving his feet for him and then he lost his balance. I tried to keep him standing but was in an awkward position. I was halfway on my feet by now and he fell backwards on to me. I feel backwards next and hit my shoulder off of the fireplace. So now I have a nice bruise on my shoulder.

Firecracker 05-22-2006 12:12 PM

Why did you change your name back Pazz??

Pazz 05-22-2006 12:12 PM

I didn't like Divine Intervention all that much.

HEY SEAN MAN

Bad Blood 05-22-2006 12:14 PM

Argh, i'm quite worried about english tomorrow. :(

Firecracker 05-22-2006 12:15 PM

Did anyone else think music was a pile of wank?

Angry Balled Fists! 05-22-2006 12:16 PM
Argh, i'm quite worried about english tomorrow. :(
Haha same :(

I need to get a few more notes on some poems.

TKAMB will be alright.

Bad Blood 05-22-2006 12:16 PM

I thought it was alright, I think I did pretty well.

I reckon I should get an A or even an A* overall, 'cause I got really high marks for my compositions and other coursework.

Edit: I'm good at the poems, it's just fitting everything in in 1h 45mins.

Firecracker 05-22-2006 12:19 PM

Everyone who did it in my school thought it was gayly hard.
I'm quite nervous about LOTF for tomorrow, i dunno much, and the poems, Carol Ann Duffy, Simon Armitage and Pre-1914 i'm not sure. Oh well, it'll be alright.

Angry Balled Fists! 05-22-2006 12:20 PM

Seamus Heaney + Gillian clarke ftw.

Bad Blood 05-22-2006 12:20 PM

We're doing Heaney, Clarke and pre 1914.

I'm gonna rush it all.

Firecracker 05-22-2006 12:20 PM

Firecracker 05-22-2006 12:21 PM

I hate CAD and SA's poems, they're all rubbish.

Bad Blood 05-22-2006 12:23 PM
How do you know what you got. We never got told, well some people were going on about how they got full marks in their performing.
Well, I saw some of the marks he wrote down for my performing, and the teacher wasn't marking them fairly, cause someone in my class played a grade 4 clarinet piece, got 5/5 for difficulty, I played a grade 8 guitar piece and got 4/5 for difficulty. So I asked him about my marks and such, and he said I had an A/A* so there was nothing to worry about, it was just a couple of marks anyway.

Angry Balled Fists! 05-22-2006 12:24 PM

I barely know any pre 1914 century poems.

Bad Blood 05-22-2006 12:25 PM

I didn't think I did, but when I did an essay with no revision and no notes, I just remembered everything.

Firecracker 05-22-2006 12:28 PM

the laboratory is the best one.

I got told i would do sheit on a grade 6 piano piece even though i only got like one trill wrong, because it was too advanced and that i could get crappy marks on it. In the end i did a grade 4 trombone piece and i did it perfectly, and for my ensemble i did about a grade 5 piano piece, and i did that perfectly. And my compositions are naturally amazing. :p

The standard you need to be able to play at is grade 4 so it's safer to do that than show off.

Pazz 05-22-2006 12:33 PM

So I need to practice for my final in music, but I'm using a trumpet book to play baritone, and the 4 final songs to choose from sound like crap on baritone. So I have to steal my fellow baritones book, who plays bass clef and transfer it to treble clef so I can play and make it sound good.

Bad Blood 05-22-2006 12:33 PM

Yeah, I know. But I recorded them at home, so they were near enough the best I could play them at and to reassure I got decent marks and not do really badly on the day with loads of pressure. I wasn't really trying to show off either, it was just one of the pieces I had been working on in my guitar lessons.

Which music exam did you do? The same one as Chris (with the James Bond music in)? or the other one (the four areas of study)?

Haha, one of the schools round hear might have to re-do their exam cause there was loads of posters up and stuff in their exam room which could help them.

Firecracker 05-22-2006 12:37 PM

How the hell? You could record at home! What a copout. We had to do it under the scrutiny of our scary music teacher watching over our shoulders. That is so lame.

AQA exam board, yeah the one with James Bond in.

Angry Balled Fists! 05-22-2006 12:37 PM

*omg insert crazy technical boring music exam talk here*

I've got to go read Of Mice and Men. Otherwise I'm pretty much screwed tomorrow.

Laterz.

Hahaha. We did a different exam to you.

Our music teacher is a fag (literally aswell as the insult way..) . He was barely even listening to my performances and writing down the marks. He had the headphones around his neck and was talking to me about stuff at the same time.

Firecracker 05-22-2006 12:43 PM

What a twat. It's all sent off though, so if the marks are unfair they will correct them. As i played two instruments for each of my performances, i should get some credit for that. :)

Which exam board were you with then?

Angry Balled Fists! 05-22-2006 12:44 PM

LOL @ my friend who hasn't read the book or any of the poems.

Bad Blood 05-22-2006 12:45 PM

Uhm.. OCR I reckon. I found it pretty easy, it mainly involved a lot of Disco and Bhangra music.

Wha? You played 2 intruments for each of your performances?

Pazz 05-22-2006 12:46 PM

I have a music theory exam sometime soon. I think it's next week.

Firecracker 05-22-2006 12:47 PM

Trombone for solo
Piano for ensemble

I'm so cool.

I dunno how the teachers let them get away with NOT actually reading any of it.

Bad Blood 05-22-2006 12:49 PM

Haha I know, that's what I thought. Oh well, it means I get better marks so i'm not complaining. :p

I can't even sight read music for guitar very well anyway. I mean, I can read music, just not apply it directly to my guitar.

Firecracker 05-22-2006 12:52 PM

You and your better marks.
Yeah actually i find that hard too. Very infact. I can read music like a book, but i can't directly read it to the guitar, because it's all different. Piano anyday, because it's all layed out nicely for you.
The notes your playing in the guitar are not given, just the frets which make it hard to transpose.
