I want a Fender (like Daves), for none-band purposes. But my Bands style of playing demands a shred machine, with 24 frets and a Floyd rose.

Thunder Fingers 07-10-2005 02:28 PM
boo Ibanez! haha, kidding...i like their guitars but not basses. I own all Fenders though but they are all souped up with humbuckers and what not :) my basses are fender as well :)
I bet you have that crappy excuses for fenders that are the Moern MIM and MIA ones.. the only Modern fenders that feel anmd sound like fender are the reissues...

I don't know if you other Iron Maiden fans feel the same but I think that their self-titled debut is just as amazing as any of their other albums.

If there's any guitar or bass players out there listen to:

1) Transylvania
&
2) Phantom Of The Opera

These tracks will blow your minds!!! :amaze:

Thunder Fingers 07-10-2005 04:54 PM

oh bass owners?

Fender Japan 70's Reissue precision(an original 70's is PRETTY much the same exept for hardware and pickups.. Feel and everything else are exactly the same)
Fender Geddy Lee sig. jazz Bass

me ownings...

That's true; those are very stellar performances from Steve Harris and Dave Murray (Dennis Stratton can suck it! ).

Also, I present to you all the greatest train ever!

True! Too bad they didn't play Transylvania when I saw them in Gothenburg last night... Phantom of the Opera was great tho :D Seemed like it was only me who knew the lyrics :upset:

Hey guys, I live in Montreal and I'm going to see Maiden next week in Quebec city and it's going to be awesome

I've never seen them live before and I was wondering what their set list has been like so far this summer or what to expect. I heard that they would be playing their old stuff more, but I'd still like to see what the set list is like.

Thanks if any of you guys know.

Only? Or will they play some of their newer stuff too? Cause usually they do some other songs too like Fear of the Dark and 2 Minutes to Midnight.

Also, first 5 albums would have been nice, it would have been nice to hear Aces High live :) and there are songs on later albums I was hoping to hear.

ashman 07-11-2005 08:53 AM

Apparently, Bruce can't reach the high note on Aces High anymore, so I doubt they'd ever be playing that live.

nah, its definately just the first 4 albums. they've got a live dvd coming out in august i believe though, it has some of the later stuff on it.

ashman 07-11-2005 09:02 AM

Aces High is one of my favourite songs and now I shall never see it live, unless I build a time machine

Riva 07-11-2005 09:19 AM

I can sort of reach the high notes for Aces High, and Bruce has (had, I guess) a higher range than me. That's rather upsetting, since Aces High is one of my favourite songs (by any artist).

time machine eh?

hmm....
somewhere in time there it is, live after death, two englishmen sneak in to see maiden on the last night... :smoke:

Lightning_Rider 07-11-2005 09:49 AM

Hmm... no Aces High... ever? That is kinda sad... Oh well, at least there is a wealth of other good Maiden songs to enjoy. ;)

But I still kinda hope they mix it up a bit next week with at least one or two later songs... But if not, it's still going to be a hell of a show

crag 07-11-2005 11:59 AM

i just read somewhere that in rock in rio you can hear someone scream because they broke their arm, is this true??!!
