<<Soccer fans anyone??>>

I'm Aniruddha Singh...from Jamshedpur, India. i'm 20 , doing an Engineering(engg) degree in Information Technology....3 years into it..

I've been drumming for 2 years now, got a local made drumkit, 7 pc, cymbal set got mixed up at a gig at college...a popular indian pop band were performing...never got them back. Not very expensive though..

Iron Maiden are my favourites, also Pink Floyd and of late I've been listening to a lot of Dream Theater and other Progressive bands like Tool etc.....

BTW my band is Cannabis< name keeps changing from time to time >
We're planning to turn pro in a few weeks time....Its a 4 man band
This site is extremely informative and has helped me greatly in developing my drumplay and also has exposed me to an awesome number of music styles and bands which are not exactly accessible here.good work!
UP THE IRONS!
welcome, im sorry about your set, do you have any pictures of it? Im kind of interested to see what kind of drums you get made there and out of what woods its made and all that stuff.

Drum Phil 10-12-2005 04:54 PM

Yeah i quit. But then people started dropping dead, friends ditched me etc etc so i went back to it to quit at a more convenient time.

And drummer54, point out the obvious again and you'll find out just how bad a drumstick can be for you. Capiche? ;)

rockindrummer 10-12-2005 05:02 PM

^ oww I don't even wanna think about how much that's hurt!

Drum Phil 10-12-2005 05:05 PM

Aye, funeral on friday. But my uncle and cousin are over :D My uncles a music teacher who plays bass and violin mainly, and my cousins a bassist and drummer

Brokensticks 10-12-2005 05:12 PM

Lol believe me I know, my brother hit me with one of mine before.

rockindrummer 10-12-2005 05:18 PM

Yat that hurts, but I think he ment worse than a hit with the stick

Brokensticks 10-12-2005 05:18 PM

I think he meant shoving up it my ***

styler 10-12-2005 05:24 PM

for anybody concerned..i got the job lol

Brokensticks 10-12-2005 05:29 PM

Awesome!!! Money for some new cymbals!

rockindrummer 10-12-2005 05:31 PM

^ nice man, how much pay do you get?

and to drummer54 ya most likely.

spike9908 10-12-2005 05:41 PM

sweet man. if i remember, its a cashiering job, so good luck with all the douches you get.

man, i cant wait to get my deposit slip next week(i get paid via direct deposit), its gonna be a good one. and at the end of the month or beginning of next, i get a raise (all the way up to $5.75 an hour from $5.50) so even more cymbal/snare/head/stand money.

Brokensticks 10-12-2005 05:47 PM

a 25 cant raise thats crap. Eventually it adds up though but still could they give you more?? And isn't 5:50 under minimum wage?? isn't it like 6.50$ or are you young like me and dont get minimum wage.

spike9908 10-12-2005 05:50 PM

no, 5.50 is min. wage. i heard they might be raising it to like 6 something sometime soon though, which would be great to have. i got lots of expensive stuff i want to buy.

Brokensticks 10-12-2005 05:54 PM

Where do you live? I think 6.50$ is minimum here.

Ill Mitch 10-12-2005 05:59 PM

Heh, the minimum wage here in Washington is $7.35. :D

spike9908 10-12-2005 05:59 PM

PA. and yeah the $.25 raise is crap, but ive only been working for 2 months, so i dont really care. after that if i do good on my reviews (not sure if they are quarterly or biquarterly) i get a $.50 or $.75 raise which isnt bad.

Brokensticks 10-12-2005 06:03 PM

Ya thats not bad. it doesn't sound good but it all adds up. Where do you work?

spike9908 10-12-2005 06:13 PM

local grocery store as a cashier. hence my comment on all the douches coming through your line.

i was on express lane(which i love) last time a worked. the light says about 15 items, some people were coming with like 25+ and i couldnt send them to another lane because there were people behind them.

TTTSNB 10-12-2005 06:20 PM
Heh, the minimum wage here in Washington is $7.35. :D
Thats what it should be everywhere. Thats actually a proper wage. 5.50...not at all.

LoneStarDrummer 10-12-2005 06:29 PM

$5.25 is minamul wage here in texas.

however at my summer job i got paid $6.50, which was just enough to cover gas and food. plus it was some seriously hard labor.

Brokensticks 10-12-2005 06:39 PM

That sucks. I think $7.00 is a good wage.

rockindrummer 10-12-2005 06:48 PM

Ya $7 is pretty good. 10 is still the best though, if not more.

Brokensticks 10-12-2005 06:55 PM

50$ would be sweet

rockindrummer 10-12-2005 07:11 PM

hahaha no kiding.

Simple Man 10-12-2005 07:13 PM

Sup guys

I copied Jimbo's avatar for Holloween.

Win A Rabbit 10-12-2005 07:16 PM

well i was talknig to my grampa about music, and i have a question for you guys?

do you think another band/musician will have as much of an effect on music/society as the beatles had?

gastery6 10-12-2005 07:17 PM

depends on the music and the people.

styler 10-12-2005 07:17 PM

depends how people take them..i think people are becoming more aware of other types of music so i dont think it will be as wide-spread as with the beatles

^^^^^ im workin at tim hortons, cashier, cook, cleaner, etc, and i get $8 training wage..i dont know whats wrong with all the places all you guys work at lol

gastery6 10-12-2005 07:25 PM

I dont work yet, I to lazy :)

Win A Rabbit 10-12-2005 07:33 PM

yea, i was waiting for my money to run out before i applied for a job, but i keep getting money. it's amazing, like christmas every day.

my theory on the beatles question is that music is a progression, and it will continue to progress in small increments from time to time, but no band (in my opinion) will jump as far up the scale as the beatles did.
