oh okay

I little known webzine rated it # 1 for last year. But they're kind of crazy.

Tangy zizzle 03-06-2006 11:36 PM

asymm 03-07-2006 01:13 AM

Yeah, TV on the Radio's new album Return to Cookie Mountain leaked. I'm downloading it now, but it might not be mastered yet...

Little Man being Erased 03-07-2006 01:36 AM

You Am I - Dress Me Slowly

I really dig You Am I at the moment.

Zmev 03-07-2006 01:36 AM

I thought that there debut was awful. With the exception of Wrong Way, Dreams, and Ambulance the rest was just boring. However I'm looking forward to the sophomore album, probably because the title of the album.

ATM 03-07-2006 07:28 AM

Speaking of Fiery Furnaces, am I the only one who just doesn't get Blueberry Boat?

Jacaranda 03-07-2006 07:52 AM

I've been listening to Wolfmothers' S/T quiet a bit, I like it a lot.

pixiesfanyo 03-07-2006 08:13 AM

oh, the TVOTR is just shoegaze, with a good singer.

Little Man being Erased 03-07-2006 03:37 PM

I don't like TV On the Radio or The Fiery Furnaces.

I do like Binary Star though. And seriously, everyone should check out the album Masters of the Universe. Anyone who likes rap/hip-hop will love it. And there ain't no excuses, cause you can download it for free from http://www.subterraneousrecords.com/motu.html. Do it.

Bartender 03-07-2006 05:06 PM

I liked Straight Street, but that's all I've heard from it.

Today, been listening to Old Time Relijun - 2012. It's.. strange. I think I like it; probably need to listen to it more.

Happymeal 03-07-2006 05:11 PM

ATM 03-07-2006 05:34 PM
Same here.
I mean, I've tried, it just doesn't work for me.

biografiend 03-07-2006 05:35 PM

I dont get the Fiery Furnaces.

Lately:
Vashti Bunyan - Lookaftering
The Mamas and the Papas. Mama Cass was amazing.

Luxor 03-07-2006 05:40 PM

I looooved them when I first starting getting into them. I haven't listened to anything in a long time tough, I think I just wore them out.

Zappa 03-07-2006 05:42 PM

Charles Mingus - The Black Sant & The Sinner Lady

I haven't played this in quite a while. Forgot how amazing it is.

Zebra 03-07-2006 06:05 PM

Add N to (X) - Avant Hard
Jimmy Smith - Root Down
The Planet The - You Absorb My Vision

Matt OH! 03-07-2006 06:12 PM

i listened to you absorb my vision today

pretty cool album, i'd say their first was better though

BillCosby 03-07-2006 06:16 PM

Matt OH! 03-07-2006 07:19 PM
never heard it
i'll upload it for the mailing list if you want

asymm 03-07-2006 07:20 PM
The Knife - Silent Shout

You know those crappy early-90's computer games that you can usually buy for like $2.50 at cheap stores? And they had really shrill, echoey, vaguely ominous soundtracks consisting of synths and drum machines? That's what this album is.
Yeah, this record is simply bad. I had a hard time choking down 6 songs.

TV on the Radio - Return to Cookie Mountain
Venetian Snares - Rossz Csillag Alatt Született
Ghostface - The Pretty Toney Album
Can't say I'm digging this one very much. The over the top sexual skits/songs have just been turning me off. Plus the beats/melodies are never that great anyway. I've really liked some Ghostface Killah that I've heard, but this record isn't doing it for me. I'm going to check out some of his past catalogue.

BillCosby 03-07-2006 07:22 PM

I did earlier this morning, so whenever the new list gets sent out, it should be in there. :)

Glitterati 03-07-2006 07:25 PM

Mr. Cosby, your avatar inspired to me to download some Ted Leo last night, and I really liked it.

I'm digging Mogwai right now.
