I meant in terms of size/song capacity.
I don't know. It does hold a lot more though. My Dad has one, and it's hard for him to find enough CD's to fill up the space. And he uses a lot of mine, and I have like 300.

lunch998 11-13-2004 10:59 AM
Yes, its an Ipod.
Haha, nevermind. I meant how many songs it could hold, Badmoon answered my question pretty much.

Badmoon 11-13-2004 12:17 PM

I wish Rock had it's own board. We get shunned away from everywhere. Our reviews, our threads, ect...

BludgeonySteve 11-13-2004 12:21 PM

Despite hugely popular demand, they still won't make two seperate rock and metal boards .

Ya know, if every topic raised in this thread was made into a thread of it's own, we would rule this forum.

lunch998 11-13-2004 12:26 PM

It's annoying sometimes, everything classic rock related has to go in this thread, but there are pages of metal threads. But oh well, I guess in some ways it's better to have one central thread like this.

Badmoon 11-13-2004 12:27 PM

Some day, I'm going to write tons of CD reviews, and save them up. And some other day, I'm going to post them all so they cover the first two pages.

BludgeonySteve 11-13-2004 12:39 PM

I just made a blues rock poll. Maybe one of oyu can make a hard rock poll :)

BludgeonySteve 11-13-2004 02:25 PM

:( can you believe those idiots in the blues rock poll? "omg leik ac/dc shud b up ther l0l!!".

Same with Led Zeppelin.

It's sickening.

Woodstock 11-13-2004 02:31 PM

Yeah, but we cant do much about it. It's up to us to educate them in music if they're willing to learn. We just look like assholes shunning them off without giving them a chance.

Although some noobs are unbearable.

BludgeonySteve 11-13-2004 02:32 PM

Yes, shunning them off without giving them a second chance sound like a plan :thumb:

I expect you all to help.

lunch998 11-13-2004 02:38 PM

No Cream?

I didnt say it like that all...I said AC/DC should be up their...they use blues progressions in their verse's and have bluesy solo's..

BludgeonySteve 11-13-2004 02:45 PM

Using blues based scales for solos isn't enough. I'm sorry but they aren't blues rock. They are hard rock exept for a few songs in their first few albums. There are only 10 spots in a poll and ac/dc aren't getting one. If I were to make a hard rock poll they would be on there.
No Cream?
Cream and Clapton at the same time might be a little odd. So I only put in one.

*probably should have picked Cream*

thickasabrick 11-13-2004 02:53 PM

the only song of AC/DC's that could truly be considered blues rock is Ride On and a few of their earlier songs, the rest are basically just hard rock, especially after bon left.

BludgeonySteve 11-13-2004 02:55 PM

The Jack as well :). But those are only 2 songs out of 100 or so.

thickasabrick 11-13-2004 02:59 PM

i voted for SRV, i would have gone hendrix, but some of his best songs werent exactly blues rock. SRV is one hundred percent blues rock in my opinion.

Badmoon 11-13-2004 03:29 PM

Once I'm done with this review, I'm going to be up for giving samples off of it.

The album is Wake of the Flood, if you hadn't known. I doubt any of you are to familar with any of the songs though :)

Woodstock 11-13-2004 03:34 PM

I'm up for some samples.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 11-13-2004 04:26 PM

Anyone there?

Badmoon 11-13-2004 04:49 PM

Samples = Ready

Badmoon 11-13-2004 06:20 PM

We should have a Classic Rock thread favorite song list.

Scelestus Nate 11-13-2004 06:28 PM

Steve Miller Band

Steve Miller is one of my favorite Classic rock bands.... even though he was considered "pop" in the 70's.

Queen, Led Zeppelin, George Thorogood, The Who, Clapton/Cream... All awesome, but Steve Miller is on top of my playlist right now :)

what do you mean? like a list posted inside of the classic rock thread? would we vote, or how does it happen?

welcome to the forums. I went through a huge steve miller band phase after i got a few of their records. even though im not a big fan of "best of" albums, their's is definitly the best. good picks for bands too.

whats your favourite steve miller song?

Badmoon 11-13-2004 06:33 PM

yea, we would just name um up. classic Rock or not, but we'd all have to agree.

Like with Fire on the Mountain.

BludgeonySteve 11-13-2004 06:36 PM

I don't think a top classic rock songs list is that good an idea. Bands is alright because there are only about 80 really obvious bands. But songs would be too hard.

And steve miller=teh coo

fair enough. so when are we gonna start this? will we need a mod to do anything? i think this is a good idea.

Badmoon 11-13-2004 07:17 PM

No, it's in the thread.

lunch998 11-13-2004 08:44 PM

With JPJ out of the way, now is the perfect time to nominate Achilles Last Stand.

Badmoon I know your not a fan at all, but with 100 songs you have to expect a few Zeppelin ones.

Badmoon 11-13-2004 08:47 PM

No one ever said 100.

And a few that we've all liked back in the day and know are...

Phish - Julius
The Grateful Dead - Fire on the Mountain

Everyone should like Sugar Magnolia.

It wouldn't be voted on. We all saw what happend with the best band poll, and currently the blues rock poll. It would be Stairway, Iron Man, and 98 AC/DC songs.

lunch998 11-13-2004 08:57 PM

If we wanted to do a poll, we could make a "songs not to include list" aswell, with Stairway, Iron Man, and Ac/Dc songs on there. We would have to deal with the "OMG wer iS stAirwAy 2 hEaveN?!?" kids, but I think it would be worth it.

Badmoon 11-13-2004 09:00 PM

No, I don't think any of you are gettin' it.

Let's just come up with some songs WE (In this thread) like, and virtually are fans of.

They don't even have to be Classic Rock.

No I got it, I was just responding to the idea of a poll. Should we nominate songs and wait for approval by other members?
