all of you guys that have been to a metallica concert, what would you say their most electrifying song is, where they get into it the most
I'm not sure what song I'd say they get into most, Master of Puppets is always a good one, but you cannot describe the feeling when you hear the Ecstacy of Gold at your first Metallica gig.
it is fairly simple

it was the first song i learned and i teach it to people who don't play

its a beginner :thumb:

it will also make you better
lol......its all I know how to play, the harmonics on the intro to sanetarium. The point is, I look and feel cool playing it.
i know everyone will make fun of me now for not ranking st. anger as the worst album
Consider yourself made fun of.

Right - mine:

S&M
Master of Puppets
Ride the Lightning
The Black Album
Load
...And Justice For All (Only this high because of One)
Garage Inc.
Reload
St. Anger

I don't have Kill 'Em All - so I won't rank it

Squirrel 01-03-2005 06:36 AM

Bump.

Burdcheese 01-03-2005 06:37 AM

The Ecstasy of Gold is simply put one of the best pieces of music ever written.

I still remember the first time I heard it in the Good, the Bad and the Ugly with Tuco running round the graveyard :thumb:
where have you seen Metallica Burdcheese? I saw them in Earl's court in December '03 and at Dowload 2004
Tragically - I haven't.

Because of evil circumstances I missed both of those. I remain pissed off about that (especially Download - fucking maths exam the day after). Also my plans to go over either to Dublin or Paris to see them fell through for being too expensive

I will however go and see them next time they're here whatever happens (Though I'll probably miss Download again)

munky_magik 01-03-2005 07:16 AM

*saw them at Reading '03*
they were one of about 3 bands that I actually managed to go and see

DisposableHeroes 01-03-2005 07:19 AM

ah that sucks, well they are bound to play this year what with recording a new album and all. I only saw them at Earl's court out of sheer luck

munky_magik 01-03-2005 07:21 AM

I didn't go but I've got a shirt from the Earl's court gig :)

DisposableHeroes 01-03-2005 07:25 AM

how'd you manage that?

munky_magik 01-03-2005 07:30 AM

My bro got one for me

DisposableHeroes 01-03-2005 07:36 AM

munky_magik 01-03-2005 07:49 AM

Burdcheese 01-03-2005 08:06 AM

led_zep_luvr 01-03-2005 08:09 AM

Burdcheese 01-03-2005 08:10 AM

KillemAllforOne83 01-03-2005 08:11 AM

I've seen Melbourne. It's a slow calssical solo by Kirk..Hopfully that helped you.

DisposableHeroes 01-03-2005 08:12 AM

i think i have an MP3 of Jungleessence, its Rob's bass solo. Its really funk sounding, but he does a bit of Orion at the end
