 i am so predictable

Come on Dragunov, dont let me down... you must have heard Solstice's 2nd album! I need to listen to it and i cant find anyone on slsk who has it.

congrats on the licence RM87 :thumb:
Nope, I haven't. I'll check reviews for it though. Solstice is a good band, so it'll probably be worth getting.

Corporal Compendia 07-14-2005 06:30 PM
When you have the chance to get out, go check and see if the Sacrifice rereleases hit the shelves.
Only Torment in Fire is out so far. The others are coming within the next few months.

Corporal Compendia 07-14-2005 06:32 PM

You know guys, I want to like Decibels more than I do... but I don't. One of the biggest problems is this hack for a drummer they had. Rich Oosterbosch or whatever the hell his name was... The loss of Mills is very noticable... this guy is just awful.

I've done stuff to my router so i can browse people on soulseek, so hopefully i'll be able to download off everyone in here now! :thumb:

Yeah, the drumming wasn't too spectacular on that album.

metal-militia 07-14-2005 06:46 PM

Dragunov, are you on soulseek at the moment?

RCA 07-14-2005 06:51 PM
Dragunov, are you on soulseek at the moment?
Nope. I'm in Germany, so you won't be able to browse me until August 2nd or so.

metal-militia 07-14-2005 06:51 PM

how come you're out there?

RCA 07-14-2005 06:54 PM
how come you're out there?
metal-militia 07-14-2005 06:56 PM

Ah, sucks. Send a message to ogmetal and ask him to add you, because he's got more stuff than I do.

Remember JMetallica? His Soulseek name is ManicThrasher, try to browse him as well.

OVER ****ING KILL!

Ok. Well, yes, I have to agree, it must be great over in the home of the greatest metal festival grounds. I want to go, but eh, alas I can not. If I did go, I'd have a blast.

As for the Corporal's comments on Decibels, yes, Rich wasn't spectacular. I listened to some of it more, and sometimes, he has his good moments. He did a good job on Goof Soup as well as the re-recording of Instant Death. However, I think Dave and Rob shun through the whole album. The Game is a cool song if you ask me. Rob sounds...super pissed off like a drill seregant at Boot Camp.

Jump into the cargo hold of an airliner that is heading for Berlin. I'll meet you there.

I agree, the re-recording of Instant Death was good.

Stowaway heaven! XD

Someday before I die, I'm going to make the effort to get over to Wacken when they have a kickass fest. It'd be a great b-day present to me because if they keep having it on the same dates they've had it before, I'd be happy to live and tell my story of how I went to the best metal festival in the world.

I should take the time this year to increase my thrash collection with all these reissues coming out.

RCA 07-14-2005 07:40 PM

That would be one kick-ass birthday present!

Yeah, all of these rereleases are great.

2,500th post. :chug:

I have og and Jmet, but he's hardly ever on.

Whats the big music shops in America? I need to know which ones to go to.

RCA 07-14-2005 07:44 PM

Tower Records, FYE, MediaPlay, and Best Buy. Most of them have decent metal selections, but most of them also suck. Your best bet is to look for second hand record shops or smaller record shops.

metal-militia 07-14-2005 07:46 PM

congrats on 2500 :) edit: i added an extra 0 :upset:

Are there a lot of 2nd/ smaller music places?

RCA 07-14-2005 07:49 PM

Unfortunately, no. :upset:

metal-militia 07-14-2005 07:52 PM

ah well.

What sort of stuff do these music places have? over here my local one has some better stuff like Dark Angel, Forbidden, Xentrix etc.

RCA 07-14-2005 07:54 PM
ah well.

Then your local store officially owns about 60% of mainstream American music stores that have metal sections.

FYE's tend to carry the best stuff. They usually have at least one copy of the must-have albums.

metal-militia 07-14-2005 07:59 PM

well thanks for the info.

you picked up anything in Germany yet?

A vintage Sodom t-shirt. :D

metal-militia 07-14-2005 08:04 PM

Nice! :D

Get some decent German thrash out there if you can find it.

RCA 07-14-2005 08:06 PM

I'll definitely be on the lookout. I've got mp3's of a Terminal Death demo, but now I might just have to go out and find it.

metal-militia 07-14-2005 08:07 PM

By the way, what was the Sodom T shirt?

RCA 07-14-2005 08:09 PM

A gr1m kvlt Witching Metal tee. I'll get pics...

metal-militia 07-14-2005 08:12 PM

Nice :)

I haven't actually seen Sodom merchandise before, otherwise i would buy a Persecution Mania shirt. :thumb:
