Of course, both Cain and Amit go to schools that are classified as "dog pounds" (fugly women) so of course they'll obsess over this :p

it's not really an obsession i'm just horrified by how many people actually like faith

anyway it's ok when i make 200 times more money than everyone on this site i think my dog pound years at hopkins will be worth it

by the way, there are actually some very nice girls here =)
actually adriana lima's body isn't what i like at all; i'm a huge fan for curves and proper proportions (see: Heidi Klum)

faith's face is just ugly and something i would expect to see while racing my porsche through a trailer park

her body is just disgusting man she needs breast reductions and kanye's new workout plan
 Well, to each his own I suppose. I think she's fine. Not botox-perfect, and a whole lot of boob, and a reasonably attractive face as far as they go. In the meantime, I have fun looking at her, which is all I'll ever do anyways.

Just curious, what do you guys think makes a cute face? It seems that there is a huge degree of disagreement between guys about this.

EDIT: Illmatic, please. Tech schools are dog pounds. Liberal arts colleges with a 70-30 female-male percentile will have legions of smart, wicked hot girls. And mine does. :)

How exactly can you describe a cute face? I think you have to see one to know one.

Personally, I like women who have very smooth, delicate features. The kind of girl who doesn't need make-up because she has a very sensual beauty. It's kind of hard to describe.

Imagine the sort of girl who would probably get cast in a sword & sorcery movie to play an elf or enchantress or something of the like.

Cain 02-01-2006 04:07 PM
indians, iranians, italians, and pretty much everyone else in the mediterranean have always had the cutest faces in my eyes
Ah...yeah she's pretty white.

I think I kind of agree with you on the face thing. The pretty ones in those groups of people have a true beauty that's been lost amongst white girls with current trends and changes in style. I think teenage girls from the '40s look much more classically beautiful than nearly everybody I see today.

Whatever, Amit, in internetland everybody only loves you secretly and hates you for it.

If you derail a thread in guitar, for instance, the threadstarters and users simultaneously think you're a jackass for doing so and yet feel that if you DON'T derail it, their thread isn't good enough, as it didn't merit your attention.

Actually, now that I think about it, that's just about the most powerful position anybody could occupy, so please, continue what you're doing. :)

I like a girl with an angular face shape, but not like a ridiculous Jennifer Garner type, and I don't want to really notice the nose + ears + mouth (because if you notice them then that means something about em bothers you). Obviously she needs nice eyes. And no acne plz, and if she doesn't look good without makeup then she's gotta go.

Haha, the only times I derail threads is when the thread is TOO awful and the mods aren't around to close/delete :-(

Come to think of it, it's kind of a good thing that I didn't get modded. The guitar forum users are scared of me enough as it is
yeah white girls tend to love me a lot more than i love them :-(
I've noticed a lot of people tend to attract those they aren't attracted to. I tend to attract the Stepford Wife cheerleaders every now and again (why, I'll never figure out) and the really creepy girls who smoke like a burning house and have enough piercings in their face to set off a metal detector 30 miles away.

My friend Greg has a very boyish, angelic face... which sadly means that under-age girls hit on him. He's trying to grow out a beard in order to negate that effect.

I think my girlfriend gave me sympathy make-outs when I got four stars for the first time on MX.

If you can't win over their heart for being the highest form of manhood, win them over by being a dork, I say. :p

EDIT: Steerpike, that reminds me of one of the things I'm afraid of at camp. I won't be in the same age range as any of the other counselors, but I'll only be three to two years older than the oldest campers. :-/ And yes, females are there in abundance. Dancers and drama students, most likely.

Stoic 02-01-2006 04:19 PM

No problem except for the fact that I'd get fired for boning a camper!

I will simply have to control myself.

And yes, I still have a girlfriend, for those wondering why I'd even consider that an option, but coming of the last massive drama spat I'm feeling particularly weary about our relationship. If another one comes, I'm ending it indefinitely. I am slowly feeling that we've taken us as far as we can go right now.

You know, I think the business of internet communication is belittled simply because of the deeply-ingrained image of the 40-year-old man posing as a 13-year-old-girl who is hungry for sex. Of course, that's a risk we all run, but MX has done wonders for my maturation in politics, music and discussion. There are loads of smart people here.

Love them stereotypes to death.

Although in my defense all the drama kids I knew looked and dressed like freaks...

Cain 02-01-2006 04:33 PM

Well, I understand that, but to be honest, the relationship has been going on for 1 year five months, and certain fundamental issues that cause the both of us extreme unhappiness have not been resolved. We care very deeply for each other still, but even so, I'm tired of it all and I am going to need a break. I'm just weary, you know?

It's a social stigma largely because people still see it as nothing more than a substitute for real human contact.

Ironically, the people who use that sort of stereotype communicate more with their friends and relatives via cell phone and IM than face-to-face talking.
Hah, that's cool. :)
I was actually going to buy it later in February and start wearing it to parties just to see people's responses.

Yeah, I understand. If it really are problems that can't be solved, than yeah, I guess it can't work out, but most things can change if effort is put forth, of course if she's just another girl, then why bother, but if you say you care deeply for her, you'll need to think about it.

Do what you feel is best for your mutual mental and emotional health, but keep in mind that if you "go on a break" that may just be a fancy way of dressing up the end of the relationship. I'm not saying it can't be brought back, just that humans in general are very bad at dealing with this sort of thing. Situations like this get precieved as rejection, failure, that sort of thing, and we let that get to us more than we should.

For what it's worth, you have us backing you up.

Cain 02-01-2006 04:42 PM

The thing is, I feel at the end of my rope precisely because I feel as though I've done everything I can. But the basic issue is of an overreliance on me by my gf because she doesn't have many close outside friendships, and many of my friends have various problems with her because of her awkwardness around them. It's all very stupid, but the effect is to make me torn between the two entities I care about the most, and I can't make them talk to one another to resolve it. They need to do it themselves and both are unwilling, so I fulfill every role I shouldn't have to fulfill for my gf, which puts insane levels of pressure on me. For instance, were I to leave her, who would she turn to to help her cope? I care too much about her to see that happen, but on the other hand I just can't handle the alternative by this point.

Okay dudes, I'm gonna go get some dinner. Nice talking to y'all.

EDIT: By break, I mean an end to me being in a relationship. There would be no confusion on that front. I would be seperate from her and she would be seperate from me. I would need to be single for a while, I feel. But she's pretty ill now and isn't inclined to talk to any of my friends about this anyway, so we'll see how things pan out.

Steerpike 02-01-2006 04:44 PM
