most people I know got into screamo via Orchid, Pg. 99 & Saetia. and most people I know who are into THE WAVE aren't into screamo at all, but alternative and "melodic hardcore". so honestly, IDK what you are talking about at all. the reason I don't like those bands are because they are retards.

and people still make fun of me. I'm still a loser. that I don't like those bands doesn't really affect that in any way.

furthermore, I got into emo via big and well known bands myself (Hüsker Dü -> Embrace & Rites of Spring on one hand). and I, unlike a lot of people I've seen comment on THE WAVE etc., don't mind it if people get into cool emo bands via THE WAVE. that's cool. more people to talk to.
