Killian's is brewed by Coors but yea
|
Isn't wether a beer is good or not be up to personal taste? Killian's can taste good to him, but not you... reminds me of something else... oh yeah. Music. Same diffference, right? I also think that the beers ones palate is prone to enjoying has something to do with your ethnic descent. I'm of mostly German, and I love Jagermeister and strong ales. Mexicans tend to like Tequila and Corona, while English people tend to like dark beers and hard ciders, etc.

No. =( |
Well, I guess that settles it. You say it's terrible, therfore, it is. God has spoken, and He says, "Killian's sucks."
Killians taste is pretty decent, not the best, but far from the worst. It's not like were talking Steel Reserve, Keystone Ice or King Cobra here. As far as whether it's "terrible" or not, is up to the viewers, not just one person. |
BeerTV's most popular show, Beerkat Manor.
|
To be honest, I wouldn't know, I've never had it. I only drink Belgian beers, most others I have tried were so terrible that I've not felt the need to go back and try more, there are hundreds of different types of Belgian beer, so I don't need to waste my time with inferior creations!
Exceptions will be made for Guinness, when I happen to stumble into one of the Irish pubs downtown. |
The viewers comment was supposed to be applied as a statement, not taken exactly literally.
Basically, "to each his own." The only thing that can really technically make a beer better or worse than another is the processes used to brew it and quality of ingredients used. Unless you're a beer afficiando, you probably don't care what was used or how they did it. Most people just care if they like it and if it gets them drunk. Superpeer- YES! Them Belgians make same damn good brews. I absolutely love Chimay (I think thats Belgian). Living yeast kicks *** at inducing intoxication. |

Also, I think we can safely say that something called Kasteelbier (castle beer) or Duvel (dialect for devil), having respectively 11%and 8.5% alcohol is OBJECTIVELY better than something called Miller Lite or Bud Lite having, what, 3 or 4%? Despite of my never having tasted any American light beers, this is fact. |
[QUOTE=Splat Out Plath;15384358
Leinenkugel's is the only major north American brewery worth talking about.
I think we just agreed on something. Too bad it's hard to find out in the west. I've only ever had it when I visit my fam in Minnesota, which borders Wisconsin so yeh. |
Actually, I know one pub that imports budweiser, probably because they got the American bluesy thing going on, should I order one for lulz?
|
Ask for a Weiser Select, then you'll feel like a high brow American.

True that "better" beers are obviously better than "lesser" beers, but sometime alcohol consumption depends on the situation. If you're sittin' at home watchin' a movie and eatin' dinner, by all means, you should drink a better beer. On the otherhand, if your at a party where there are cool people and attractive members of the opposite sex, then you should probably drink "lesser" beers for a couple of reasons. One being that if you spill a $14 bottle of beer, you're gonna be pissed. Another reason is that higher alcohol content beers get you waaaay drunker and a lot faster, meaning that if you forget to pace yourself you could be a totally cool and suave chick magnet, and 45 minutes later you're the gross, overly drunk dude in the corner with your head down and puke on your shirt and you'll probably be crying before the night is through, and no girls will sleep with you.
Beer is like music. Your collection should be diverse. You have your elitist choices that make you feel sophisticated and knowledgable, and your generic yet totally fun choices. I look at it like this- "Maybe this song gets three or four spins on the radio a day, but when you're partyin' and people sing along, drinkin' piss beer and havin' fun it doesn't matter how unevolved anything is." |
Corona satisfies me.

Dude you've made like 3 huge posts on beer.

Yes you should. But make sure you've got a pack of Marlboro reds and maybe a hot dog to get the package deal. Both Bud and Marlboro come in red and white containers, and it seems to be a white trash match made in Heaven. I know I've made a couple long posts about beer, but what can I say? I'm passionate about beer! Beer and Music 4 lyfe! |
jelle subsonic called you white trash

I didn't call him white trash, I just said he should get both said items to get a taste of the "white trash experience." |

American beers aren't exactly easy to find here, no one wants that crap! So I'm sure something called Weiser Select won't be sold. <-<
True that "better" beers are obviously better than "lesser" beers, but sometime alcohol consumption depends on the situation. I mean Stella Artois is often the party beer here, which is better than, you know, piss light. =) But yeah, I'll drink crappy drinks just to get drunk, duh! And I smoke marlboro reds anyway, so I think I'll manage.
Welcome, purplefeet. You last visited: 07-23-2007 at 09:29 PM Anything new?
hi female! |

I've had Corona, Fat Tire, Heinekin, Dos Equis, and Killian's. Out of those, Killian's had the best taste. I'm sure there are better. |
What I'm trying to say is that

Why do you always leave us hanging Kage? :upset:
