Yes, I always tap it on guitar for some reason though.
The first time i ever heard DT was when someone had it on their mp3 player years back and i took a quick listen, it just so happened to be on the kickass solo near the middle of erotomania. I forgot about the band for a long time then decided to listen to them one day and downloaded Dont look past me and i absolutely loved it, but for a long time i was convinced it was the glass prison because thats what the file was labeled as.
Ah so thats the song that I had been listening to a while ago  (Same thing happened to me). Am I the only one who likes Awake here?

Chu 08-16-2006 07:24 PM

Awake > * imo.

Such a good album, from everyone involved. (Specially Petrucci :p)

Inkstar 08-16-2006 07:43 PM

Nah man I love Awake. Infact I've been giving it a few fun throughs lately. Absolutely love it. Voices is becoming a quick favourite.

Atica 08-16-2006 09:08 PM

You tap it? I find that doing hammer ons is faster. Maybe its just me....

inassociationwithdeanlearner 08-17-2006 05:42 AM

Yeah i tend to do hammer ons instead, tapping seems like a cooler way to do it but unnecissarily harder maybe.

I'm talking bout bass.

if your internet wasn't working, you wouldn't be on the site even trying to post.

Dream Theater is such a beautiful name. It's so open to vision.

TojesDolan 08-19-2006 02:38 AM

Ever heard their music or something?

hollowpainting 08-19-2006 02:44 AM
Ever heard their music or something?
Yes. It's a construction of beauty, have you heard their music?
getting awfully philosphical arent we?
I do not believe so. We were engaging our intellectual minds in discussion of the band Dream Theater. What is wrong with that? What is everyones favorite song? Mine: Universal Mind(LTE), Panic Attack and In The Name God.

Lord Abortion 08-19-2006 02:54 AM

Mine are Surrounded, Take away my pain and hm, probably solitary shell atm.
The second two change all the time though.

TojesDolan 08-19-2006 02:56 AM

It's "In the name of god" in case you wonder or care about that.

I think OVerture 1928, Dance of eternity, Blackwater Park, Beyond this life and Erotomania, for me.

And their covers opened up my musical tastes, yeah.

Love your name. It's after Cradle Of Filth, right? Umm. I don't like Take Away My Pain. I wish to keep mine and express it. I agree, it's quite a song though. Very heavy emotionally, for me at least.

Lord Abortion 08-19-2006 02:58 AM

Yeah, I love the ballads, and my username is indeed after the Cradle of Filth song...but I just like my noble title.

hollowpainting 08-19-2006 03:03 AM
Yeah, I love the ballads, and my username is indeed after the Cradle of Filth song...but I just like my noble title.
They are beatiful. It brings quite a question about you though? Why thrive in such terrible name, while claiming to be noble? :)

Lord Abortion 08-19-2006 03:06 AM

I could make a point about Irony, and even mention that it was making a satirical statement about the nobility and the somewhat less noble activities that their wealth and power allows and has allowed them to do in the past and present, but I won't. I just happened to be listening to a really good song when I was joining MX and thought it'd make a kinda punchy username.

TojesDolan 08-19-2006 03:47 AM

I thought that was like a name change you got in a later stage on MX :-0

Discoveries, discoveries.

Nah, I've always been Lord Abortion, never felt like changing it at all.
Never been one of those nubs who feels the need to get a namechange, then change it back, then hange it back to the original, then change it back again, then change it back yet again.
You know?

I just changed it once, anyway.

<_<

On a related note, I always had that impression, you know because it's rare to see people who use capital letters for their first user name. Probably because most of us are used to just using undersocres and lower case on the rest of the internet names or something like that.

Lord Abortion 08-19-2006 03:58 AM

That's because MX was the first Internet thing I really did.
and I'm not a dumbass.
and that was a dig at Jevi, not you.

TojesDolan 08-19-2006 04:02 AM

That was slightly implied anyway. :p

I mean, that that wasn't directed at me me.
