Youth Are Getting Restless is awesome, it was actually my first Bad Brains cd. The bass really stands out, and instead of a guitar solo in a few places, there are bass solos, Big Takeover being the best. And their reggae cover of a Beatles song.
Bass solos are always good. They play "Day Tripper" on the other live cd I have and its great.

Nas
Hot Snakes

They combine it with a cover of She's a Rainbow by the Rolling Stones to make a really long song. Its great.

Awsome. I'm looking foward to it.

Ryan Adams - Gold

Bartender 11-17-2005 03:58 PM

I like it. I've only had it a couple of days (and most of that time's been given over to other recent purchases), and I don't have I, Megaphone to compare it to, but it sounds pretty good so far. I just love her voice, though.

Little Man being Erased 11-17-2005 04:09 PM

Yeah, I'm definitely interested to hear it.

Yusef Lateef is sex on ice. I think I'll put on his Eastern Sounds after this Mingus album is over.

Jeff Buckley - Live at L'Olympia
Jeff Buckley - Songs to No One
M83 - Before the Dawn Heals Us

I still don't really like that M83 album all that much. But I'm giving it another chance. It's probably about a 3/5 at the moment. "Don't Save Us From the Flames" is brilliant, but the rest of the album doesn't really measure up.

Catch 22 - Keasbey Nights

It's been a while since I've listened to this. It's still great.

Zappa 11-17-2005 07:14 PM

That album is also really awesome. You guys rock tonight.

Happymeal 11-17-2005 07:16 PM

I can't stop playing "If I Loved You" by Mr. Kirk. It's the most inspirational, romantic, sensual song I've ever had the pleasure of listening to.

Not even "Car Crash Terror!" ?

Okay, yeah maybe that one too. Still not really up to the standard of "Don't Save Us From the Flames" though.
