I know, it's just a funny word. It must be the ganja.

Taste_My_Scythe 06-17-2005 02:50 PM

Ciao guys! I'm back from Italy and I had a great time; despite the fact I stayed two weeks with my grandparents who are a little uptight. Ugh. I bought some CDs and I now have all the Children of Bodom albums! (I bought Hatebreeder! Yes!)

Also, I know its old news, but I can't wait until the new Children of Bodom album comes out in September. :thumb:

Just finished watching Napoleon Dynamite. Its so fucking random its funny. Gosh. Oh, I would reccomend a movie to you all: Constantine

I will be regular on here now. :) Later.

That's cool that you had a good time.
And welcome back.

Dr. Jake Destructo 06-17-2005 02:54 PM

Joe, you made me think of something. I'v never about an mxer posting while being intoxicated/stoned/any other altered state of mind. :p Interesting.

Taste_My_Scythe 06-17-2005 02:56 PM

Thanks! I'm happy to be back. It was really great over there, but the company was a little...eh...lol. It could've been better.

Was it only the grandparents that you had for company?

ATM 06-17-2005 03:00 PM

I haven't been to Italy since I was in 2nd grade. I'm in college now, so it was quite awhile ago.

All I remember is going to the leaning tower of Pisa, and buying this skull for 10,000 lira.

We also went to a glass factory.

Taste_My_Scythe 06-17-2005 03:17 PM

Munky: We were there for three weeks. For the first week, my aunt and 10 yr old cousin were there. That was great, because I'm really close to them. Then, it was just my grandparents and the 30 yr old guy that worked at the B&B we were at. I think he was the only reason I stayed sane...lol.

Arrest: I went to Pisa as well. The leaning tower was pretty cool, but I liked the cathedral and baptistry next to it too. Those were pretty cool. We stayed in Rome the entire time, but we went to Pisa, Florence, Orvieto and Frascati. I liked Frascati the best. I also happened to sit next to this dude on a bus who was wearing an Iron Maiden shirt. So. That was fun. haha.

YDload 06-17-2005 04:15 PM

You went to Italy?

See any Rhapsody fans?

Dr. Jake Destructo 06-17-2005 04:37 PM

Man... I wanna go on a tour of Europe. Maybe start in Italy, make my way to England, meet up with a couple mxers, have some beers and listen to death metal...Then we could all go to Michigan and go eat at Red Robin so we could watch Jom exubate.
You went to Italy?

Nope. I saw ONE guy (so sad...) with a Children of Bodom shirt. Two guys with Kreator shirts (one I dont think was Italian though)
and some metalheads identifiable by their long hair, leather pants and blackness. That was about it. A little disappointing. Oh, I did see a LOT of people wearing Iron Maiden shirts though. They were for sale everywhere. Street vendors in Piazza Navona. *chuckles*

Arucard 06-17-2005 06:42 PM

I didnt have much to drink whilst i was out, so im only slightly tipsy.

Time to drink more.

Taste_My_Scythe 06-17-2005 06:46 PM

Oh yeah. Speaking of alcohol, I had some of the best wine in the world over there. I also had my first taste of beer; on tap though. Sweeet. *winks*

Arucard 06-17-2005 06:47 PM

You hadnt drunk beer before? U/l.

Taste_My_Scythe 06-17-2005 06:51 PM

I had. Very poorly though. Before I went to Italy, I had a taste of someone else's wine, champagne at new years and half of a wine cooler. But in Italy I had red wine everyday with dinner, liqueor before I went to sleep. And like I said, I tried beer, which I like very much. lol

Sounds like we better keep you away from the alcohol huh.

I am. Drinking Fosters number 5 at the minute.

Taste_My_Scythe 06-17-2005 07:04 PM

What is the best beer? In your opinion.

Arucard 06-17-2005 07:09 PM

I like Carona, the lime adds a flavour you can't experience with other beers. But then again, i mostly like ales such as :

Abott
Pedigree
Dragonslayer

All good stuff. But in England, ales are much more 'part of the culture' if you know what i mean.

Taste_My_Scythe 06-17-2005 07:10 PM

Thats awesome. Can't say much about FL. lol. I know that Brazil has a famous drink that a lot of people like. I think its 85%; Caipirina. Haven't tried it yet though. :D
hahahaha. Thanks for that, powerchord. what the hell is your icon?
I don't know what the hell it is, just somthing I found. It's a temp while I make the most kick ass avatar ever. And your welcome.

Endless Obsession 06-17-2005 07:16 PM

Everyone knows that Corona with lime is the greatest beer ever. If i want to get drunk though i usually go with the Natural Ice, it has the most alcohol and is the cheapest.

Arucard 06-17-2005 07:21 PM

The Electric Six gig i went to last night was insane. Everyone was on the Carona.

Mr. Squiggles 06-17-2005 07:24 PM

The only beer I have ever had was a 1/4 of a Budwizer so I don't know what anything else tastes like.

Oh yes, btw. Electric Six are the best live band ever, bar Alter Bridge. I was in hysterics for most of the set, and it was the only gig where i could actually dance. Even if i did look like an idiot.

Did you hear Metalingus when you saw Alter Bridge?

My favorite live band is Metallica. I dont know what it was but i just had this feeling in my gut like "wow this is the best thing i have ever seen". After that i would say Lamb of God or Slayer.

If that was directed at me, yes, i have seen them play that live twice.
