Really trying to give this band a chance. It's not working.

Nile is ok

I used to be obsessed with them when I was first getting into metal lul

They might be better if you could understand about half of their riffs. The tone they have matched with the speed of everything just makes it impossible to discern notes.

yeah the guitar tone they use is really bothersome, it makes everything sound messier than it already is

Their slower, doomy parts kinda rule but I don't like the super fast death metal stuff which is the majority of their material. User-Maat-Re is pretty badass.

The last 2 songs on that album rule

i really like their song Unas the Slayer of Gods or whatever its called, but the rest of their stuff really sucks

Unas is their best song I've heard to date.

yeah and its actually one of the first death metal songs i ever listened to

Dude there are ALOT of coheed haters out there gut i have to disagree. i think that in keeping secrets... is their best dude. it's so dark and moody. i dunno. this one is badass no doubt but doesn't compare to in keeping secrets....

Actually I had to turn it off it was so bad, lol.

I feel the same way about Nile and Mortician. They are a fun listen once in awhile, but its just too much at times.

Every album of theirs is brilliant, so I can't really pick one.

Nile at least has some redeemable qualities. Mortician is ****.

And i shouldn't have favs with coheed. i mean junesong provision is my fav all time coheed song. and that's from their first album so i dunno.
