I categorically despise Satanic Warmaster
It seems like Mr.Ron has become a more retarded version of 1338 haxor
They grow up so fast :'-) |
ha. black metal is meh for me lately.
|
went from black metal to beastie boys that quickly?
|
I listen to everything dumbass.
|
Yeah, I never really listen to black metal at all anymore. The only thing I'll occasionally play nowadays is Transylvanian Hunger or some other old school stuff (Burzum, Mayhem, Darkthrone, etc.).
|
Yea that stuff is always good for a spin. But i like some of the new releases lately, but i always feel like nothing can top burzum.
|
gtfo non-elite
Only fags are not regularly listening to black metal these days. |
nazi bitch.
|
Oh and of course Bathory, but I'm more into the Thrash/Viking era stuff. Hammerheart and Blood Fire Death mostly.
|
Hammerheart is great, i never really liked blood fire death that much, but i havent given bathory a listen in ages.
|
Haha when did this happen? Someone who was talking to me about reissuing a few of his tapes not too long ago so this seems a bit weird.
I'm not sure but several people have mentioned this on sites that I visit. Might be a rumor, but the band is definitely split up and the common explanation is that he died. |
Hammerheart is in my top 5 albums of all time.
I thought Blood Fire Death was really boring at first, but then I started listening to it more and more and it just kinda grew on me. It's actually a really great album if you can look past some of the crappy songs on there. |
Thats true. Actually some good modern black metal that ive been digging is: Anaal Nathrakh
|
So I was listening to the Evil side of the **** Peace! We Are At War! split and I gotta say it's probably some of the worst production I've ever heard, right up there with the LLN projects. The tape rip was also annoyingly panned right like 50%.
The tape rip was also annoyingly panned right like 50%.
Man, I hate that. When it's mp3's, it's not that bad because I fix it up with winamp so that it becomes more equal on both ears, but when it's an actual tape, it really sucks. |
Which songs do you consider the crappy ones?
Oh, maybe I didn't make that clear. I don't consider any of the songs crappy, it's just that a lot of people (including myself) when they first listen to the album are turned off by some, what they may consider, lackluster songs. I was originally turned off by Blood Fire Death(song), just because of it's length and Dies Irae. I dunno why I didnt like Dies Irae, I guess I was just a faggot back then... |
Yeah I can fix the pan too but that made the guitars even thinner and they were pretty much static to begin with haha.

Tracks 3-5 were the ones that grew on me a lot with time. They're all great. |
anyone into Mefisto?
|
Mefisto is great. I've got both demos.
Blood Fire Death is flawless by the way. |
Yeah, they are decent. I got the compilation of the 2 demos a while back.
I should probably give it a better listen. I remember thinking the songs dragged on too much though... |
Could one of you send me the demos?
