JACK! 03-23-2005 05:34 PM

I wouldn't really call myself a regular but I might do that when I can get round to it.

RetiredAt21 03-23-2005 05:35 PM

Black Dahlia's avatar makes me giggle.
FUCKING GREATEST SHIT EVER

Some dudes opened up a venue 6 miles from my house. I can drive there in like 10 minutes and all the shows are $5/$6. The first show is Sinking Ships with More to Pride and a bunch of sweet local hardcore bands. My life is changed :')
There used to be this venue that was a 5 minute walk from my house and it was the best. It was mostly local bands, but they had a few big shows. There was a Death Threat/Punishment/Subzero/Pride Kills/Will to Live show there, that was my first hardcore show. I also saw Ed Gein/Psyopus there before. It closed in the fall, I miss it.
Hey, all of you hardcore/metalcore regulars should post you're pics in the MX photo album. The only ones I know of in there are me and Shane.
That makes me sad even though it doesn't affect me at all. Just walking down to road to see Death Threat would rule.

I'm in the Mx Photo Album.

Oh, I left before them and Punishment. I wasn't even into hardcore then so I never heard any of the bands before. I would just go there for random shows, listen to a band on purevolume or something and if they were decent, i'd go. They had some amazing shows there a few years ago, I remember looking at an archives and seeing some bands I like a lot playing there.

My pic is already in that thingy.

Righteous Jams full set. Someone tell me what the last song they play is, I don't recognize it.

40 oz 2 freedom 03-23-2005 07:50 PM

Cool, but sound quality is horrible.

40 oz 2 freedom 03-23-2005 08:07 PM

Reiner, on B9 it says there's gonna be a Bruisers reunion. Go.

NewKindofArmy03 03-23-2005 08:09 PM

I heard about that too. I never listened to them though, what kind of band are they?

I've only heard the B4B cover, that song is awesome though.

40 oz 2 freedom 03-23-2005 08:25 PM

I'd call them punk, but what do I know? They are awesome though.

A-Life-Less-Plagued 03-23-2005 08:27 PM

NewKindofArmy03 03-23-2005 08:38 PM

NO ONE LIKES YOU, NO ONE CARES!

In other news, my older brother has been listening to KsE a lot lately. I think I could get him into a bunch of metalcore bands.

conniption 03-23-2005 08:52 PM

how olds your brother?

A-Life-Less-Plagued 03-23-2005 09:03 PM

My older brother listens to techno.

22, his favorite bands are the Used and Blink-182.

Haha, you need to de-pussify him.

He just listens to bad music. I doubt he'll like a lot of hardcore though, he says it has no beat.

Give him The Warriors. They've got the groove.

A-Life-Less-Plagued 03-23-2005 09:21 PM

What do you mean 'no beat'?

NewKindofArmy03 03-23-2005 09:24 PM
What do you mean 'no beat'?
I don't know, he doesn't think they keep a steady beat. I don't know what band he hears me listen to, but I remember putting on Minor Threat and him saying how bad they were.

He's a drummer, so good drummers always get him to like stuff.

A-Life-Less-Plagued 03-23-2005 09:28 PM

Bane have a pretty good drummer. I can't think of too many hardcore bands with outstanding drummers though.

NewKindofArmy03 03-23-2005 09:30 PM

Me either, but a bunch of metalcore bands do. Or at least semi-decent drummers with a ton of double bass.

shane italiano 03-23-2005 09:35 PM

Bane on Friday.

A-Life-Less-Plagued 03-23-2005 09:38 PM

I thought you weren't going?

shane italiano 03-23-2005 09:43 PM

I decided to after listening to With Honor nonstop all week.
