BludgeonySteve 10-10-2004 10:28 PM

Seafroggys 10-10-2004 11:28 PM

On American Dreams tonight, some group played The Who. I was wondering who it was, if anybody would know (they have modern groups come in and potray singers and bands, for example Third Eye Blind playing The Kinks, etc.).

I love Keith Moon so much!

deckstar_1 10-11-2004 01:15 AM

Just wanted to say thanks to rock not roll for sharing this site, it is now the best site I know and the best bit is I wont have to read this thread and think I wish i had enough money for that CD. (usualy one badmoon has suggested)

Creedence Clearwater 10-11-2004 04:02 AM
Nice :thumb:. You don't see many teenage CCR fans anymore. You're alright in my book :)
What am I then?

the mighty zep 10-11-2004 08:51 AM

and how do i go about doing that?

jpj 10-11-2004 08:53 AM

the mighty zep 10-11-2004 08:59 AM

well i think ive been on these forums for a half a year now, i think thats a good head start.

I used to be in the Drums and Percussion forums, but that place sucked. The same questions are asked over and over again. At least ill learn something useful here.

And to get on topic of something at all...Who here has the album Quadrophenia by The Who? Ive been listening to it alot lately and think its one of the most underated albums around. Lost alot of recognition since Tommy was the first Rock Opera around, but i think this one is better. The last three songs to the album are such a great outro I want to listen to the whole thing again...but dont have time. Im probably gonna do a CD review on it in those forums, after im 100% on what every song means, more specifically the last ones.

I think this is the last album Keith Moon made before he died too. That sucks. I love that guy, he was frikkin insane.

CaseyJones24 10-11-2004 09:08 AM

im only in sixth grade and ive noticed a ton of classic rock fans in my grade.

Badmoon 10-11-2004 09:08 AM

Keith's last album was Who Are You actually. But, yea, Quadrophenia is an amzing album. It's a lot more dramatic than Tommy.

the mighty zep 10-11-2004 09:11 AM

They made that into a movie right? I heard most the rock opera movies are boring as hell...but id still like to see them to get the concept of the album, like The Wall.
