You need to listen to more Weezer. The Blue Album and Pinkerton in particular.
I have The Blue album and I really liked it

Bartender 05-31-2005 08:05 AM

Weezer are great. I'm still rather convinced no one can hate them.

I've never actually heard of this Weezer. Unless you mean the abominable band that released that song "Teenage Dirtbag".

Bartender 05-31-2005 08:10 AM

Nope, that was Wheatus.

Riva 05-31-2005 08:21 AM

Ah, then I am relieved, and can look forward to hearing this "Weezer" with an open mind.

So, whats going on?

Arucard 05-31-2005 08:34 AM

My Grandad finally got of my computer so i can start doing some Bitesize revision. Listening to Sevenfold, eating Wine Gums and drinking the good old Irn Bru.

Good morning all. The job hunt continues!

What's everyone up to today?

Arucard 05-31-2005 08:36 AM

Not much, doing alot of revision really. Like the new avatar btw.

Gracias, amigo.

Inspiration has been randomly hitting me for my Alistair MacClean-style WWII novel, but never enough to actually get down to working on it some more. :(

HMV are still refusing to have Wolf's Return :(
Jesus, how do you get all this money to spend on CDs?

Arucard 05-31-2005 08:45 AM

And Jesus, why do you shop at HMV?

Bartender 05-31-2005 08:47 AM

HMV have good sales, and a surprisingly wide selection for the most part.
Mr Bungle - California (only £6.99)
Nice purchases all round, but that in particular is an excellent album. Recently became my favourite Mr Bungle record, which brings it close to being my favourite Patton-related one too. Let me know what you think of it.

Mr. Squiggles 05-31-2005 08:48 AM
I shop at HMV at the end of my trip. Usually to see what they have in their deals and to get hard to get CDs which the other stores I shop at don't have.

A combination of not buying anything else, ever, and parts of my family randomly sending me money :)
I wish my family would randomly send me money :upset:

superpeer 05-31-2005 09:00 AM

Ah, good job on High Anxiety, munky !

Shred Danson 05-31-2005 09:06 AM

Blessed be those who browse this thread!

Good morning, you sons/daughters of bitches. I'm back from the weekend, recovering from wounds recieved whilst playing the great game of moshketball on friday. I also have a sore back from packing all my crap up. Moving out rules. Memorial day was a somber one, as I took the day to remember those fallen soldiers who fought for my freedom...I also had a beer or two with my dad, yeehaw.

NP: Bon Jovi- Wanted Dead or Alive

(C'mon, you know you like this song)

Cain 05-31-2005 09:14 AM

I can stand 'em. It's all in good fun, the music they make. It makes me laugh. :)

Shred Danson 05-31-2005 09:17 AM

That's the only song by them that I actually care for. I love playing it at school, especially in front of the ladies  .

Cain 05-31-2005 09:21 AM
That's the only song by them that I actually care for. I love playing it at school, especially in front of the ladies  .
You know that girls still think that Bon Jovi's hot. You just know it. Those hair metal guys' sexual attractiveness will never die. I mean come on, they dressed up like girls but were somehow still men. No wonder they got so much *****.

Well, except Mick Mars, but he never counted anyway.

Shred Danson 05-31-2005 09:25 AM

Ewwww Jon Bon Jovi's getting the purty eye from 13-year-old girls. That guy's like, 50.

Mick Mars isn't even human.

I have a bit of nostalgia for bands like the Crue, Van Halen, and Skid Row. The rest of those glam/hair metal bands deserved to die. But there's been less sex and booze at shows since the eighties, man. I think my band will bring back the backstage sex and booze

Jom 05-31-2005 09:28 AM
Enjoy. I expect a full report on what you purchase.
Alright.

Porcupine Tree- "In Absentia"
Arsis- "Celebration of Guilt"
Shadows Fall- "The War Within"
Gorillaz- s/t
R.E.M.- "In Time... Best of 1988-2003"
Aww, come on, that's not an answer and did you see my audioscrobbler week chart? Hardly any metal there.

Did you rate it? <-<
It wouldn't matter, because you would still snicker and laugh at the band's un-tr00ness. And yes, I saw your Audioscrobbler, and yes, I rated your review.
Everyone knows I'm a chick*. Good job at sucking, you fool.
horse*.

Well, you can find both at a barn, so it's alright that you confuzzled yourself.
Does anybody live around here?
Heh, I think you're directly speaking to me, but I'm not sure. Sorry, but I only have five strings on my guitar at the moment... I have 11's that I have yet to put on, but there's no way in hell I want to throw those on and try standard tuning with them, sorry :-\

Oh, and did I mention that I blow at guitar?
/fake pregnancy stories and such
Well, I've never had to worry about things like that. Yesssss.
/Has never had a girlfriend last more than a month...I suck.
Well, at least you hit a month, that's longer than my flatlining, yes? *high fives*
I've been trying to figure out the name of that extremely popular club/techno/trance song that gets played at clubs and sporting events all the time. I know the beat and how the song goes, but I dont know the name.
It's definitely "Who Let the Dogs Out?" by Baha Men.

Just kidding, that's not it. And that was wayyyyyyyyy too vague, you're right.
☻
I suppose I'm the only one who got annoyed by seeing this for some odd reason. It seemed like all of a certain page was /me makes phrase (insert smile).

The kittyloaf circlejerk was funnier... until Jelle tried to convert me
EDIT: Jom's post disappeared?
I killed it because I forgot that I needed to go back six pages or so to catch up with the thread, not unlike what I'm doing now.
I approve of munky's obtaining of High Anxiety !
My local CD store doesn't have any European rock and metal artists, it seems. I looked for Therapy? and Dog Eat Dog, and they were nowhere to be found.

Shred Danson 05-31-2005 09:32 AM

That was the most hardcore reply post so far today.

Congratulations, Jom. You are hardcore.

Jom 05-31-2005 09:42 AM

*sings in Jack Black-esque voice*

If you're not hardcore... then you're not hardcore.
