I do know the guitarist from Mendeed but noone probablyknows who they are anyway.

A band from Scotland, they're hardcore-ish I think, I'm really not sure. But the guitarist can sweep like a bitch.

Arucard if your just gonna come in here and bash people about how terrible Bodom is then get out becuase no one wants to hear it. We can think what we want about A7x, and I don't recall any of us saying we don't like them solely becuase of what they look like. There are a few fans of their older stuff in here, and whether we like their image or not (which most of us, including ShadowsFallen don't), we don't judge their music on what they look like, we judge it on their music. You have no right to come in here and tell us what to think about Bodom becuase that's up to [I]us[/I], not you. As far as I know no one went into the A7x thread and said how much they suck and how much better Bodom is, becuase any of the regulars here are beyond that.

As to A7X, I'd like to see them do the stuff Janne and Alexi do.

BTW: I like how all arguments against bands arer always the same. CoB are too repetitive, Norther are rip-offs, Dimmu aren't tr00etc. etc. :lol:

Howzabout we do something simple...why we dislike the bands.

I dislike Avenged Sevenfold (on their new album, mind you) because:
I think their singer has a terrible voice. I don't care if he bursted a blood vessel, you guys need to find a new singer.
While their drummer is good, he has the most fake sounding drums I've ever heard. And I don't like that.

Now, COB:
All their songs have a familiar feel to them...same chord patterns and whatnot.
On the new album, every song starts with a C chord. I don't like that.

He's right actually, every single song is in the key of C minor and starts on a Drop C chord.

That's a pretty miniscule detail though. It's not like every song is identical.

They ALL do.

Living Dead Beat: Palm muted C chord.
Are You Dead Yet?: C chord
IYWP...PFW: C chord
PMIB: Variated C scale (ok, so it wasn't all chords...it starts in C though)
IYF: Classic palm muted C note
Next In Line: NOT a C chord? Well, a D chord then, which is what most of their other songs were based in.
Bastards Of Bodom: Sounds like it's based in C
TL&S: C chord
WNGF: Based in C

So there. 7 (possibly 8) out of 9 songs are based in C. It wouldn't be a big deal if they were changed up a bit, but they really aren't. So is my big gripe with Bodom.

I do like to hear some variety once in a while though...I wouldn't exactly call AYDY a very modal album...
