When you're all not looking, I'll go back and delete a post so that I will get the 10k. When you least expect it... *shifty eyes*

Too late I did it.

Of course, the same two people have the 10k post/reply, but now the places are switched.

sweboy 04-02-2005 05:32 PM

YDload, you're such a gangster.

denboy 04-02-2005 05:38 PM

I jumped on the pope bandwagon..

leiferikson 04-02-2005 06:37 PM

Went to Bristol today, primarily to go to Ikea, but also went to the town afterwards. Bugger me its nice, it made me realise how pathetic Reading is. I want to move to Bristol. If you're wondering, but you're probably not, I bought a computer desk (no more sitting on the floor for me!), and this multi-photo holder which looks like a giant strip of film and isn't as tacky as it sounds.

br3ad_man 04-02-2005 06:44 PM

I'm glad they finally just let the Pope die.

leiferikson 04-02-2005 07:02 PM
I'm glad they finally just let the Pope die.
I agree. I was looking at photos of him when he was younger and I actually got quite sad because he looked so normal and full of life but for the last few weeks, or even months, of his life he must have been in so much pain. I wouldn't wish that on anybody.

Oh yeah and at Ikea I had their Swedish meat balls and **** me theyre tasty. Theyre what I imagine the popplers from Futurama to taste like

Left Shoe 04-02-2005 07:05 PM

He's gonna have to hold a candle to John Paul; it's a fucking vigil!

Left Shoe 04-02-2005 07:07 PM

I say give this man the papacy. I don't think theres been a comic genius as the head of the catholic church yet, except for St Hilarius maybe - not a joke, there actually was a pope called that

I'm not Catholic. But I am a quarter Polish!

leiferikson 04-02-2005 07:40 PM
I'm not Catholic. But I am a quarter Polish!
Can you read my user title then?
Im pretty sure Pope Lando wasn't catholic. I think he was just Peter Griffin in disguise.

source: http://www.pubquizhelp.34sp.com/hist/popes.html There have been some humorously named Popes down the years. I especially like Urban IV, sounds like the next Vin Diesel movie
Can you read my user title then?
No. I'm Polish by ancestry, I don't mean one quarter of my body transplanted itself from Krakow and became part of me.

Also, the best papal name was Sixtus IV. He was the fourth of the SIXtuses?

I tried turning the baby into a pirate with hooks and an eyepatch, but it wasn't very smooth.

br3ad_man 04-02-2005 08:23 PM

Here's a challenge. Can any of you figure out the time signature for this riff?

ZEROthirtythree 04-02-2005 08:43 PM

It seemes like the first measure is in 9/8, but the rest is in 4/4.

denboy 04-02-2005 08:46 PM

... It's in 4/4, all of it

denboy 04-02-2005 08:49 PM

Two seconds, I'll upload the soundclip with a metronome
Amazingly, it's played at exactly 70 bpm

br3ad_man 04-02-2005 08:53 PM

The file has expired, apparently.

denboy 04-02-2005 08:56 PM

.. Argh, tried uploading it again, told me it was expired immediatly.

Oh last night/early morning we (my reformed band) rocked the roof off of some bar down town and some people recognized us from our ol' heyday. We played some of our older songs and threw out some new ones I wrote. It was pretty good overall, not bad for not jamming out or anything in 8 months.

Wanker 04-02-2005 10:54 PM

Roof of some bar, eh?

We usually stick to laundromats around here.
