Sounds good. Yeah, I just got back from the gym today, I really love it.

Hmm, if I were to tell you that I am formerly known as "god_hates_us_all", would that give it away? If not I'll tell you about it. (Unless you're just feigning loss of memory so as to make me exploit the ownage first-hand :p)
I remember that your avatar had an armadillo at the time?....I think.

Diatonic Dissonance™ 09-29-2005 05:54 AM

More than likely. But do you remember the actual own? :p

Was it something to do with suicide?

Diatonic Dissonance™ 09-30-2005 02:31 AM

Getting warmer.

Suicide and people cutting themselves...

Trigger_003 09-30-2005 04:41 AM

Gah, bad subject :(. I've gone through trying to cure a mate from depression... not fun.

Anyway, I'm back .

Yeah I noticed that as well, they've got a few amp modelling heads out as well.
The Ultralink UL2000M is out soon as well. I'll be getting myself one.

Aes820 10-05-2005 03:48 AM

So, I got some good news today.

My work contract will be extened for a further 6 months.
And not only that but the people whom I work with reckon I'm worth a further 8 gorillas to them.
So I got a pay rise to.
Pretty good yeah!
Well I'm chuffed.

Trigger_003 10-09-2005 05:07 AM

bump.

What's everyone been up to?

gaslight 10-09-2005 05:33 AM

Not much.

I'm trying hard to find a good singer and guitarist so I can be in a band with them.

denboy 10-09-2005 05:36 AM

I feel lucky having a band, even though they don't play the genre I'd most like to play (that being, music not bound by genres)... But I've become really good friends with the other guys in the band

Diatonic Dissonance™ 10-09-2005 05:36 AM

Three hours at gym today, :o

/did bench 200 times.

gaslight 10-09-2005 05:42 AM

Yeah, I have a Brit-pop/rock style band that I play with at uni at the moment who have gig oppurtunities and that, and that's good, but I want to have something else that's a bit heavier.

moaner 10-09-2005 02:27 PM

I'd love an experimental rock band, but there are only 2 other guys who i know who like it.

that said, i'm still gonna see if we can meet up and play some time.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-09-2005 02:31 PM

/has no band

:upset:

It sucks living in such a small town. I was recently asked to be in a band, but the two guys that asked me are really not that cool, and their taste in music is basically the opposite of mine, unfortunately.

moaner 10-09-2005 02:42 PM

i hate punk.

I know its closed minded and stuff, but today i've decided I really don't have a single nice thing to say about it.

Ah well. :(

Trigger_003 10-09-2005 03:07 PM

:o Far out, I wrote almost 2000 words in http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=400306. Some of those breathing exercises might be useful to you singers (or anyone hiding the fact they play a wind instrument).

Good to see you guys in here again Matt, Knifeboy :)... haven't seen you here for a while.

Hehe, we're playing The Lion King in one of the concert bands I'm in... I have a solo (trombone) - it's pretty fun to play.
Deprived of Sanity has a few gigs coming up so we've just been working on songs for those, and I've been writing a few originals over the holidays.

Don't write off a whole genre just like that.
Consider the rhythm of bands like the Living End.
Consider the harmonies behind bands like Bodyjar.

There is some good stuff going around. You just have to filter thorugh the garbage to find what you like.

So, we won our semi-final in trisports yesterday. Beat the other team in soccer convincingly, 6-0. I got two of those in.
Finals are next week.

KKKKKocaine 10-13-2005 09:37 AM

Let's tune into the ongoing saga of....'KKKKKocaines mother contradicts herself'

Previously on 'KKKKKocaines mother contradicts herself'

Mother: You need a job, I don't care if it's the most menial, boring **** job there. Even if it's for mcdonalds. You need a job before the students move in.

KKKKKocaine: Ok

Today's Episode

KKKKKocaine: I've called the agency, I'm going into see them tommorrow at 9am about a telesales job. It's £5.25 an hour. 4 hours a day. 20 hours a week. More money than I need even when tax is taken off. You don't need any experience, just a good telephone manner, which they told me I had during the phonecall. I'm seeing them at 9am and then they're taking me to the company to see how I like it. If I like it, it's a 12 week job starting next week.

Mother: Well done.

Later

*Mother wakes up (4:30pm)*

Mother: Luke, you don't want to work in telesales, it's a lonely job and it's boring and you'll get alot of people being nasty to you.

KKKKKocaine: That doesn't really bother me.

Mother: Why don't you apply in WoolWorths? they need staff? You'll be with people your age.

KKKKKocaine: Stacking shelves is utterly boring. I'd rather try the telesales job.

God sometimes I want to powerbomb her into a hornet nest. The bitch must have some secret deal with Woolworths or something because she's done nothing but push it on me since walking in the room.

!!!despite the fact that tommorrow I'll be near woolworths when trying out the telesales job so If I don't like it I can apply at woolworths early tommorrow morning!!!

but oh no! that would be sensible.
My mother, being a woman. Doesn't do sensible. She does pretentious, emotional and above all stupid.

1. Of course people are going to be abusive to me. Has anyone ever bought windows or a kitchen from a cold call? Why the fuck do I give a shit? 'Oh crap, some guy I don't know told me to fuck off. I think I'll go cut'

2. According to her, Woolworths have been advertising jobs for months. So it makes no difference whether I go in today, or tommorrow. Well actually it would, I'd save bus money and my own time. But no, let's go and throw money away and piss our time away.

3. I've worked stacking shelves before, 9am-5pm. Af about 3pm. You realise you feel very ill. In short, working 12 weeks 9am-5pm. Would make me ill. All for the sake of appeasing my mother, earning more money I don't need. And being with people my own age.

Being with people my own age eh?
I think I do that already....what are they called?
erm...friends! that's it!

moaner 10-13-2005 02:02 PM

stacking shelves can be really fun if you're with other, cool people.

Or Jeff the warehouse guy.

I'm handling the business and legal side of my freinds ungerground electronica/experimental label :thumb: :s

Aes820 10-13-2005 05:18 PM

moaner: post clips.

KKKKK: My mother also tried to push me into working at woolies. I never did tho.
I just didn't want to do it.
But if it were me I wouldn't want to do a telesales job. I wouldn't find it very rewarding.

How about this tho.
The funniest post i have ever made and hardly anybody even sees it.

Anyone got plans for the weekend?
I'm going to a party and I'll probably work on some more of that flamenco guide.

And apparently I'm getting abducted tomorrow morning to go dress shopping for the formal...
